(Author Note: So I had a hard time writing this chapter not necessarily because I didn't have ideas but just because details and such were giving me a hard time, so I apologize if it's a bit hard to read, later on, I might go back to fix this one up as I feel like I have to publish this and move on before I go insane lol)

Not much time has passed since "Training methods" and we currently find the pair of 10-year-olds still following Ash's training

"1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6," Ash was leading the trainers and Pokemon in a workout routine, they were all currently doing jumping jacks
With Pokemon like Horsea focusing more on the jumping aspect due to lack of limbs

"It's important to keep your body as well as your mind in top shape," Ash said they kept doing jumping jacks "Must be ready for anything"

"Right!"
"Right!"

"Bonnie!" Ash said as he tossed his hat to get some aiming training in

"Horsea Bubble beam!" Bonnie said as Horsea aimed at the hat and missed

"Max!"

"Water Gun Poliwag!" Max said as Poliwag aimed at the falling hat and missed as well

"Bonnie before it falls," Ash said

"Mareep use Thunder!" Bonnie said as nothing came from Mareep "Mareep?"

The hat fell and the attention shifted to Mareep who wasn't participating in the exercise and was distant from the group

"Alright let's take a break," Ash said as everyone stopped the jumping jacks with many of the Pokemon laying in exhaustion

"Mareep what's wrong?" Bonnie asked walking over to Mareep

"Reep!" Mareep yelled as Bonnie paused briefly from approaching

"I don't really understand the shadowfied condition but I think a simple way to handle this is that Mareep still doesn't fully trust you yet," Ash said "I similarly caught a Sneasel and it took some time and my Pokemon had to help me out but I eventually got Sneasel to listen to me and it even battled with me"

"So, I just need to get Mareep to trust me..." Bonnie said approaching Mareep again despite the protest

Bonnie eventually bent over and started to pet Mareep who was still resisting but it eventually starts to calm down as it like the spot Bonnie was petting

"You like that hehe," Bonnie said as she reached into her bag and pulled out a brush, and started to brush Mareep's wool "I do this with Eevee Pikachu and Venonat, Horsea doesn't seem to like it so much what about you?"

"Reep..." Mareep said as it relaxes under the brushing

"I'll take that as a yes" Bonnie said with a laugh

"She got to that stage a lot faster than I did" Ash commented

"Bonnie has a..." Max said trying to find the right word "Warm aura, most people that encounter her like her, same goes for Pokemon I guess"

"Yeah she usually gets along with most" Ash said as Max went on his phone as they were resting

"Hahaha!" Max started laughing gaining the other two's assistance getting a what? from Ash "Being a celebrity sucks" as he sent it to Bonnie and showed Ash what he saw

"Champion love! Is there something brewing between these two trainers?!" Bonnie read the headline out loud as the cover was the picture of Ash and Iris hugging at the exhibition battle
