The pair had made their way into Viridian Forest, it started well as they were enjoying the scenery, observing Pokemon such as Caterpie's and Pidgey's, and making small talk
Bonnie even had an easy trainer battle against a trainer who only used a Metapod that used Harden
Then as time went on and the sky grew darker
"This forest is too big!" Bonnie said
"Never been in a forest?" Max asked/teased
"I have but this is way bigger than any I've been in," Bonnie said
"How many forests have you've been in?" Max said teasing her limited traveling experience
"You're just upset in Viridian City I got that Pokeball deal," Bonnie said
"No all beginners need more assistance," Max said making Bonnie annoyed as he looked on the map app on his phone "Viridian forest is pretty big I admit but we should be out of here in a few hours then we'll be in Pewter City"
"But it's already dark!" Bonnie said, "We need to eat!"
"I thought you were going to say make camp," Max said as this hunger felt familiar thanks to his sister and Ash's appetite "Do you know how to cook?"
"Kind of," Bonnie said looking embarrassed "My brother is a good cook so I never really needed to learn since he would take care of everything I only know how to make a few things"
"Like?" Max asked
"Curry" Bonnie said "I don't have a pot though"
"I do, you stay here and get it going, I'll go get berries and such" Max said taking out the impossibly large pot from his bag "Oh, and Vibrava! Sceptile!" as he released his two Pokemon
"Hey, guys!" Bonnie greeted the Pokemon that came out
"Vibrava, when Bonnie's ready use Dragon Breath to start the fire for her" Max, instructed as Vibrava cried in agreement "Sceptile help me find some berries"
"Well Eevee come out and keep Vibrava company as I try to figure this out," Bonnie said taking out Eevee as she had to get the steps right
Max and Sceptile as they wandered the forest they found a good amount of Oran and Pecha berries, Max would get the low ones and Sceptile would get the high ones in the trees
"Think we have enough?" Max asked Sceptile who had a bunch of berries in her arms
"Scep!" Sceptile smiled in agreement who then went serious as she hears a Pokemon as she rushes off with Max following
"A Nidoran!" Max said as they find a tired Nidoran (male) sprawled out on the ground
