"Sorry they ran out of Casteliacone's so I got you a Crustle Cake," Bonnie said as she took her seat and passed Max the cake
"That's fine, this should be good" Max said "You signed us up too?"
"Yep, it was a small line and we weren't the last entries as I think there are still a couple of spots open," Bonnie said as she licked her Casteliacone
"I thought you said they ran out," Max said narrowing his eyes at her
"Yeah... after I got mine," Bonnie said with a wide smile and took a big lick "Wanna trade?"
"N-no thanks," Max said as he was tempted but knew he shouldn't
"Oh, I think it's starting," Bonnie said
"Ladies and gentlemen we have a treat today the reason most of you came here, the exhibition match of the generation! We have the challenger, the champion of the Unova region!" The first commentator said "Iris!"
Iris came determined as she walked towards the center as the audience erupted
"I don't know why she tries to look serious," Hilda said with a laugh from her seat
"Don't let her small frame fool you, Iris is one of the most talented trainers in the world" the second commentator said "Iris here specializes in dragon types so be aware of a powerful offense from her" the second commentator said
"And Kanto Native, from Pallet Town! Ash Ketchum!" The first commentator said
Ash walked towards the center with a smile enjoying the audience and waving to them and such
"We skipped Ash's bio so we will give it to you now," the first commentator said
"Ash here has quite a resume to give you the synopsis, current champion of the Alola Region, a former top 8 master class trainer of the PWC and is only former because he didn't compete last time, also has various appearances and credits from Pokémon Contests, Pokémon Research to even winner of the Battle Frontier a rare accomplishment," the second commentator said
"Ash has powerful Pokémon from unevolved to fully evolved, he doesn't specialize in any type giving him the versatility and unpredictability on his side, his battle style focuses a lot on speed and power so don't blink or you'll miss it," the first commentator said
The two trainers met in the center and after a stare down, they smiled, the two shared a hug and handshake with a laugh then walked back to their sides
"Oh, what's this? Is there something more between these two competitors?" One commentator insinuated
"Oh, brother!" Bonnie said from her seat "They're just friends!"
"You seem awfully upset for someone who always tries to set up her brother," Max said
"Hey, I don't ask every girl!" Bonnie said
"You see folks Iris challenging Ash wasn't just a random challenge these two are old friends and rivals, even traveled and trained with one another so we're in for a good one today," the second commentator said, "Now let's take it to the ref!"
"Alright 5 on 5 battle each side may switch whenever, since this is to promote the tournament both challengers will send out their first Pokémon at the same time," the referee said
"Fine by me! Go Fraxure!" Iris said sending out a Pokeball
"Alright go Glalie!" Ash said
"Fraxure"
"Glalie!"
