Pure (Albedo x reader)

Mountain venture

"Sucrose, if you are able, please keep an eye on my lab while we're out" Albedo asked his assistant who nodded, "Of course!" she glanced at you as you were playing in the snow with Klee. "Please take care" Sucrose smiled softly and returned to Albedo's lab, "let's go, Y/n, Klee" the young child giggled and laughed as you carefully picked her up. she was light, so even for someone as weak as you currently are she was easy to carry, "be careful, Y/n your body is still healing so Klee please be careful with her" the two of you laughed then Klee looked at you. "Are you hurt?" her sweet voice asked, "Ah..Sorta? I'm simply coping with the world around me again" Klee looked confused but smiled nonetheless "I know Albedo can help you!" she said excitedly.

"hm..i hope i can" He walked ahead and you followed behind, "Wrymrest valley is home to Durin's remains, considering how warm it is compared to the mountain, maybe it'll trigger something" you set Klee down so she could walk around or walk beside Albedo if she wanted to. "Do you have an actual home, Albedo?" he glanced at you, "Of course, I'm not there very often as i am very busy with research" the snowfall was light and calm, bringing a beautiful and serene background. "hmm.." even the calm snow fall gave you an old familiar feeling, you looked up at what used to be an old tower with only the lower half remaining.

a very vague image popped up in your head of how the tower looked before it was knocked down and destroyed, it wasn't crystal clear but it was there. "Y/n?" called Albedo's voice beckoned softly, "ah sorry?" he looked at the tower your were staring at but simply thought you were interested in the ruins. "Come, we're almost there, then we'll set up camp" he managed to snap your attention span back to reality and away from the image in your head. "alright sorry!"

once the small troupe arrived in the valley, what looked like giant bones grew from the ground and reached for the sky, they looked like a ribcage however hollow it may seem a very large body must have once laid here. "Wow!" you nearly brushed your finger against the think bones however he stopped you, "Do not touch the bones, the body that laid here was corrupted, everything it leaves behind will be just the same"

on his face was concern even though he tried his best to hide it, "Your very vulnerable right now, last thing we need is a mysterious girl getting corrupted" his grasp loosened a bit but he didn't let go and stared into your eyes searching for something. "Ah..i think Klee got the fire going?" he let go and looked away, "I apologize" he said quickly before walking over to help Klee, you wanted to help but also didn't want to be in the way so you explored a little bit.

it felt much warmer then it felt up by Albedo's lab, but as you explored, something drew you closer to a cave. you had no reason to ignore your want for adventure so you ventured further and what you saw forced chills up your spine, "haha..no" instantly you turned away from the eerie pulsing heart. and left the oddly warm cave, it didn't bring any memories nor did it look familiar, so it served no purpose to investigate.

Back outside, Klee was drawing something in the snow while Albedo quietly watched while observing the surrounding area occasionally. "there's something really, really creepy down there" he raised a brow, "Hm? you went down there alone?" he quickly walked closer to you with some kind of..scary stare about him. "I'm sorry, i just wanted to explore! i didn't touch it, i left right after i saw it!" his arms crossed, "Your lucky, considering that's the heart of a vile creature"

taking a deep breath, you nodded, "I wont wonder off again!" surprise developed on his face as you bowed your head in defeat and guilt. "relax, I'm not your father, all i can tell you is to be careful..speaking of, do you have any family?" you tapped your chin and shrugged. "Maybe i do, i cant remember. all i know is i used to be friends with a bard in Mondstadt"

He thought for a minute then sighed, "I suppose that's good you remember someone, it'll be getting late soon and luckily, Klee made s'mores" you tilted your head but followed him anyway. "what are s'mores?" you asked, kneeling down by the fire "you've never had one..?" Klee asked "well i don't think i have" she handed you one, you felt a little cautious but noticed Klee quickly eat one and Albedo was drawing. Not trying to stop it like it was dangerous, you hesitated to take a bite but did so anyway and to your surprise it was extremely yummy.

a shimmer surfacing on your eyes, Klee began to laugh and you did too. as usual Albedo was quite but quietly watched, though his drawing that originally was a picture of the up stretching ribcage turned into a portrait of the bright eyed girl just in front of him, he scowled, 'im getting too attached. but, it doesn't feel as terrible as i thought..' he softly smiled to himself.

"Don't you want one, Albedo?" scooting closer to him, you held out one of the treats Klee made "Hmm, sure.." after he took it so you went over to Klee who began to teach you how to make one. 

"come here"

glancing over to him, you sighed and got up from your place beside Klee "what is it?" he opened a small tent with three different sleeping bags, "Pick one" he said, "oh, uhm the middle i guess?" you glanced outside at the sky and finally realized the night sky was overcoming the daylight. "Klee" he called for the small girl, "Coming!" she kicked snow over the flame and ran into the tent and jumped on to the wanted sleeping bag.

He softly chuckled at the girls youthful excitement, and moved to the side after closing the tent. you laid down and covered your head with the blanket, though before you could fall asleep you calmly watched as he let his hair down and undid all the braids. his hair was a lot more messy and looked a lot longer then before.

and that was the last thing you saw before falling into slumber..
