"he is a weapon, a killer. Do not forget it, You can use a spear as a walking stick however that will not change it's nature"

As the sun rose on the land of stone and contracts, as did its ever so vigilant yaksha, who of course never laid to rest. The warm night passed, and so you came out of the room kindly lended to you for little to no mora.

"Good morning.." you waved at the boss who chuckled at your sleepy expression, "i believe Xiao is already waiting for you on the bridge, It's good to see he has a friend" you put on a sleepy smile, "Thank you.." she watched you leave to the elevator, a content gaze following you until out of her sight.

You stepped onto the elevator and watched the land grow closer, you were still pretty sleepy as it was still pretty early but the ever so vigilant Yaksha apparently wanted you our of his hair, for reasons you really couldn't place.

Of course, you were more dense then a forest of pine needles but i guess that wasn't a bad thing sometimes. The elevator came to a stop and you got off before it could head back up again, you wondered over to the bridge, nothing but chirping birds and falling gingko leaves accompany you.

"Hey Xiao.." he glanced down at you, "morning" you rubbed your head and sighed, "Do you feel any better?" with a simply shrug he had gotten his answer. "I feel terrible..sleepy and sore.." you rubbed your wrists and quietly whimpered.

"Don't" he hissed, "what?" he sighed, "I Don't like that noise, so just stop that" although you were a little confused, you came up with the theory that he just didn't like to see you hurt and so you did just as he asked.

============

"Xiao, you should come see me in Mondstadt" he sighed, "we're almost at our destination and you choose to bring it up now? Why should i?" you blinked, as he continued to stare at you with an ever so cold gaze.

"I don't know, maybe because I'm your friend?" his golden optics traveled down to his feet, he was of course, silent as ever when it came to such a mortal topic, you already disappeared on everyone last time, whos to say it won't happen again?

"Well it's just a suggestion.." you rushed on ahead of him, running up the steps of stone gate to be met with someone squeezing the life out of you. Unfortunately you did not get the chance to wish Xiao a goodbye, and so he returned to Wangshu Inn.

Now, who was squeezing the life out of your? well, he has pretty blond hair and usually wears a cold expression around those he doesn't particularly show interest in. "Albedo! your ok!" he felt tense, perhaps anxious.

you fortunately took notice and made an attempt at trying to calm him, "Hey..I'm here now and I'm fine!" you tried to move out of his grasp however it only tightened. "How did you get away? and how badly are you hurt?"

you let out a quiet awkward laugh, "Well it's a little complicated.." he sighed, the very breath tickled your ear. "We have all day, explain while we return to Mondstadt" like a switch his soft and caring demeanor disappeared and was replaced by his casual state.

once again you were walking the same path back home, this time accompanied by Albedo and not Klee and Kaeya. "To start off, Balladeer is surprisingly friendly.." of course he did not seem convinced, "You say that as if he didn't kidnap you after injuring me.."

"I know! but he helped me! in fact he carried me out of the Tsaritsa's palace! an even took me to doctor to nurse me back to health" the amount of salt on this mans face, saltier then the ocean itself.

"Carried you huh? again, he wouldn't have to do that if he didn't kidnap you to begin with" you frowned, Scaramouche was right when he said they'd overlook the fact he rescued you. "I feel bad for him.."

"Why?" you kicked at the dirt path with a sigh, "Because you overlook the fact that he's still a person and not just some Fatui slave" he frowned at your cold tone, as you didn't try and skip ahead of him with excitement.

The ignorance and awkward atmosphere felt unbearable so as per usual you skipped ahead yet with a lot less energy, 'Are the people of this era as ignorant as ever?' like last time you walked passed the dawn winery.

"Diluc's probably in Mondstadt, i wonder how much dandelion wine has changed over the years" your walk turned into an up paced skip, leaving Albedo in the dust though you didn't want to get lost so you waited until he came into your sights before you continued.

"Maybe I'm just overestimating him, maybe he really is just some killer.." you looked back over your shoulder at Albedo, although he didn't look at all distraught, he was always tough to read. "Albedo!"

he looked in your direction, "Hm?" you hurried over him, tripping on your feet as you did so, though you caught yourself before falling. "I'm sorry!" his face stayed emotionless even when faced with such a sympathetic apology.

"Don't apologize, i took no offense to what you said anyway" he softly pat your head with a content half smile on his face. "Hmm..what should i do when i get back? Maybe i should go see Klee, I'm sure she's missed me"

you weren't look for an answer from him but still looked over at him for any reaction, only to see him glance off to the side. "something wrong?" he coughed and shook his head, "i have but a suggestion.."

"Perhaps, since windblume has begun..-" you gasped, accidentally interrupting him out of joy "It's started?! well let's hurry!" you ran further ahead, or at least you tried.

"Hold on, allow me to finish" he snagged your wrist, forcing you to a stop "Oh yeah sorry!" he let you go. you stood there awaiting him to continued with a soft expression.

"as you will be busy with everyone most of the day once you return, when the sun sets, it would be my pleasure to take you on a walk through the city"

Like the true gentleman he was underneath a layer of cold and intent to distance himself, there was of course a smart and gentle man hidden underneath.
