Pure (Albedo x reader)

The oddities

"Venti, you can't be acting like a child with someone so fragile" Jean scolded as you calmly sat a small bit away to listen, "aww come on, she didn't wanna sit in that boring tavern! so i did her a favor. eheh" she didn't look at all convinced but didn't want to press matters further. "fine, just be careful with her. we still don't know weather or not she has a head injury" she looked back at you "That goes for you as well, i don't want you hurt let alone forgetting all that you might've remembered."

You nodded, "Well..at least i got to see the statue thanks to Venti" he smiled at you like you two were two best friends getting each other out of trouble. "i suppose that was a good thing, Now since Venti and you seem so keen on sticking with each other. Venti will be going along with you and Lisa for shopping" instantly Venti tried to escape however he failed to the dandelion knights grasp.

"I'm not going shopping! You women always take ages!" he protested, "You should have considered your consequences earlier" after a moment he finally gave in and relaxed. "To think, a god, would be controlled by a knight.." you muttered, gaining Jean's attention in a flash "you told her?" she asked, to which Venti nodded. "Mhm! she looks trust worthy, riiight?" although you were a little confused as why he wanted to keep the topic of your divinity hidden, you nodded. 

Now that Jean was focused on you and your condition, Venti tried to sneak off like the little sneak he was. "Heeey Venti, where ya going?" he froze and Jean looked behind her. "Fine..fine, if i get a drink out of it of course!" Jean rolled her eyes and you smiled, nostalgia was a good feeling when you cant remember a thing.

the rest of the day was spent, Lisa came in Jeans place and helped you look about the city. Venti often tried to sneak off however you kept a hold on his green cape to ensure he wouldn't run off, "Y/nnn c'mon let me go!" he whined, "Y/n dear, let the Bard go, i wont let him run off.." Lisa smiled and Venti shuttered. "huh, ok" Venti frowned so you assumed Lisa was scary enough to keep him in check, "it's getting late, so Sucrose must be able to take you up the mountain" Lisa hummed.

"Maybe?" and somehow, when you went to glance at Venti, he had run off but it was getting late and you were going up the mountain soon. "Sucrose!" you yelled once you saw the minty haired girl, she turned around frantically then fixed her glasses "i suppose this is goodbye for now, dear, have a good evening" Lisa said softly with a smile. you waved a goodbye and ran down the steps over to Sucrose who laughed at your sudden appearance.

"how was Mondstadt?" she asked, "Well, I'd say it was...uhm fulfilling i guess?" she looked a little confused but nodded anyways. "i hope your ready to hike up the mountain, Albedo will probably have more experiments for you when you return though.." She said timidly. "i hope he doesn't make me jump off a cliff again.." Sucrose fiddled with her hair and laughed as she lead the way down the path from Mondstadt to Dragonspine.

"Hey, Y/n, remember that feather i gave you? do you still have it?" you kicked at the dirt path and shrugged, "I'm sure i do, its probably somewhere in that messy laboratory" you smiled softly. "I'll help you find it! That is, if Mr. Albedo doesn't want anyone in his way" Right in that moment, your interest was piqued, "I'm very curious about Albedo, Sucrose. He is really.." you struggled to find the correct words when Sucrose thought of it for you. 

"Distant?"

You nodded, "Yeah, he really friendly and stuff but he's always super..distant" She  glanced up at the approaching mountain, "Albedo keeps his distance for his own reasons, ones i don't know. i think he's scared of losing people close to him" you nodded with an understanding light in your eyes "Losing those close to him?"

"mhm, I heard his teacher suddenly disappeared and left him with an impossible mission" the two of you approached a broken bridge that led into Dragonspine foot hills. Sucrose gabbed your hand then tossed a anemo crystal fly onto the ground, which was contained in a vail, the bursts of wind carried you both over the broken bridge and safely on the other side.

then, the conversation continued on like it was nothing, "i don't know his teachers name, but i knew she was good friends with a woman named Alice, who had a baby girl named Klee" the snow crunched underfoot while you walked up the snow covered path. "Sometimes, Klee helps Albedo around the laboratory, or cheers him up whenever he's down or none have his experiments have been doing well, Klee is a really sweet girl but she's not allowed in my lab for..uhm, reasons.."

"Klee sounds like a sweet little girl" you hummed softly, the breeze was cold yet calming, then as you two came up onto the wooden bridge, which was also broken, a small blonde girl dressed in red came running out of the indentation in the mountain where Albedo's lab resided. Albedo not far behind her.

"oh, speak of the Devil!" Sucrose giggled, once more she activated her anemo crystal fly and glided over while you held on tightly. "Klee, slow down!" Albedo yelled, "wow"  Klee was happily running in the snow. "I don't want you to fall and hurt yourself" He said with concern, oblivious to yours and Sucrose's appearance.

then Klee crashed into your legs and fell, you nearly fell yourself since you didn't have full grasp on walking quite yet. "o-oh, are you alright?" you kneeled down and quickly examined her, "i-I'm sorry miss.." Klee apologized sorrowfully, "Klee, i told you to be careful" he helped her up then helped you up as well.

he seemed distracted with Klee so for a few spare moments he held onto your hand, and the blunt little girl noticed. "Albedo, Is she your uhm.." she pondered for a moment, trying to remember whatever word she was trying to think up, "..Girl..friend?" she said it slowly to make sure she was correct.

"what?" instantly he released your hand and shook his head, "No Klee, she's a friend" you were confused so Sucrose pulled you into the Lab "Uhm..im confused" the girl had a small smile plastered on her face, "I don't have much romantic experience, But a girlfriend is one half of a couple..Boyfriend and girlfriend and uhm, stuff like that"

"oh, uh. I don't get it but, alright. Now, let's look for that feather" Sucrose's eyes slowly widened, "oh right! i forgot about that!" after flashing a kind smile, you began to go through some of the shelves full of books and vials while Sucrose looked closer around the specimen table.

"may i know why you are going through all of my things?" said the soft yet somehow scarily cold voice, "A-ah, I'm sorry, we're just looking for something of Y/n's!" Sucrose said in a panic.  "Something of Y/n's?" he questioned. "mhm..the day after we found her and nursed her to health, i gave her a feather, which turned to glass the moment she touched it"

Klee, who was standing quietly beside Albedo, then gasped "Oh..i found it out in the snow earlier!" she pulled the very same feather out of her bag and smiled. "interesting.." Albedo whispered, "Y/n, i have another experiment for you to help me with" you took the feather and rubbed Klee's head, "by help, you mean be the test subject right?" He didn't seem to pick up on your sarcasm and proceeded to explain what he was talking about.

"its nothing dangerous, I ultimately want to know if you are connected to this mountain in some way, so we'll be going on a venture, Dragonspine has many mysteries that might bring your memory back"
