The remainder of the night was spent chatting as the two failed to fall back asleep and one was a little curious on the topic of a goddess with shimmering black wings.

Albedo stared at the girl who eventually fell back into slumber beside him, he relished in the comforting warmth that he's grown to enjoy. Though some lingering piece of him felt cold in a warm bed.

The sun peaked over the horizon and shone through the window but hardly pierced the curtains, the duo slept comfortably as neither were accompanied by nightmarish images. with the slightest appearance of light, Albedo began to stir.

Though he was pleased with the situation he couldn't help but wake up, and his restless stirring awoke the woman besides him. she outstretched her arms to stretch then subconsciously cuddled closer to the source of heat.

he wanted to relish in this feeling for just a while longer, but a knock on the door ruined the moment.

It was early, who could be at the door at this time of day? The alchemist wondered for a moment then let out a hefty sigh "Excuse me.." he whispered to the drowsy goddess. She looked up at him and yawned, sitting up a little "who could that be.."

He himself stretched as well then proceeded to sluggishly walk to the door, greeted with the same gentleman he saw in his dream. He fell silent as the tall and intimidating man smiled warmly, "Morning, I'm a good friend of Y/n's and she wanted me to meet you"

"Zhongli?" she looked to the doorway and waved, "Alright.." he let the taller guy in before going to the bathroom to brush out his hair and and put it up. "He seems fine" the same warm smile he wore at the door did not falter from his face.

"He sure is...wait in what way?" he laughed, setting a small box on the small table "I'll brew morning tea if you'd like" she shrugged. "I haven't had tea in ages, literally.." she got out of bed and walked to the small box.

"Are there tea leaves in here?" she picked it up and slightly shook it, "yes, there a gift" she raised a brow, creating a perplexed expression. "A gift? Why a gift? Who's it for?" he laughed and took it from her hands gently.

"For you, and i haven't seen you in half a thousand years, it is common to give a gift to a friend you have not seen in a while?" Albedo came out of the bathroom to find the scene before him. He was a little puzzled, but approached them.

He was tired sure, he wanted to go back to bed.

"What is this?" he asked, his voice a little raspy in the early morning hours "Zhongli got us tea leaves!" she cheered. He, just as usual, envied her energy so early in the morning, they both woke up in the middle of the night.

He, from her perspective, was a lot less calm and more restless in his sleep which kept her awake until she woke him up. "They are Dong-Hong Pao tea leaves, i would have come earlier to brew them in time for morning however i assume you'd be sleepy"

"Those are considered a treasure within the markets, how did you come across some?" Albedo carefully opened the box, the scent of the dried leaves filling the air. "A friend of mine came across them on his travels and offered them to me, though i was grateful, i have a preference on what i drink"

"Was it Childe?" she asked, her expression puzzled "Ah, in fact it was. He sustained an injury recently so he's been at his room at the inn in Yujing terrace" The alchemist carefully handed you the box of tea leaves, the said leaves neatly bundled in a decorative bag with an amber ribbon.

"Childe? As in that one troublesome harbinger i've heard about all over the streets of this city?" She looked over and up at him with a guilty smile. "Don't worry!" she beamed, trying to convince him she wasn't nearly killed in a dark alleyway.

"Childe is a harbinger, he nearly destroyed Liyue..but unless she can achieve his attention as a warrior, he won't bother her" Albedo sighed, being tag teamed by the two gods. "Fine.." Assessing the situation, it was highly unlikely he could take on a harbinger all on his own.

Hell he barely died fight the 6th harbinger and it was in a single strike as well!

"How do we brew it?" She asked, "Well, if you would like to learn i am able to teach yes?"

==============

"It lives up to the name.." Albedo hummed, a few hours later the tea was brewed wonderfully and now the trio drank in peace. The steam wafted into the girls nose, making her sneeze off to the side of course.

"Bless you, When will you return to Mondstadt?" he asked before taking a swig of his tea, "Perhaps tomorrow or maybe the day after. I've spoken to whom i needed too and i've gathered ingredients for future experiments, nothing else needs done here by me."

"Y/n, anything you need done in the city?" she looked at her hands grasping the smooth clay cup, "I've explored the city to every nook and cranny, i got a souvenir for myself and Klee, I can share tea with venti, jean or Lisa. Maybe Sucrose can experiment on some but anyway, i can't think of anything else..i should.."

Her eyes widened slightly and her mouth fell agape, "I Should go see the adepti!" she yelled, almost spilling her tea but quickly catching it and calming down. "Ganyu, cloud retainer, all the other adepti haven't seen you since Liyue was founded"

"You're not even trying to hide the fact that you're Morax anymore" Albedo got up and set his empty cup on the counter. Zhongli's gaze followed the male, no mistrust or discomfort in the glowing amber gaze of his.

"You've kept Radisana's secret for a while now i assume, i see no reason to not trust you can keep an old retired gods secret as well" he blew softly on the tea before taking a sip. "I wanna see Ganyu! Is she still in the Qingxing? And moon carver, do his antlers still glow?" he smiled.

"You should find out for yourself, i have to go to work if you need anything come visit the funeral parlor" He followed Albedo's steps and set the cup on the counter before baring a warm smile as he left.

"Come on let's go!" she whined, quickly finishing off her tea, the caffeine boosting her abundant energy. "Hold on, relax" she grabbed his arm and squeezed, "you should not have had that tea.." he pat her head gently to calm her.

"If we go eat would that calm you down?" she chuckled, "If i didn't know better, it sounds like you're asking me out" she grinned up at him, her smile and eyes mocking him. "Perhaps, are you inclined to tell me no?" though he was calm in her eyes, he could not be more panicked in his life.

He didn't mean it the way she took it but if she was fine with considering it a date then he'd obliged.

"Then lets go!"
