Pure (Albedo x reader)

Late night drained from Liyue's dark indigo sky as it changed to a pristine amber tone, accompanied by the sun.

You awoke from an uncomfortable position in bed, looking around in confusion for a moment to ponder just how or when you got to the inn. Glancing down to look at the floor, Albedo rested as peacefully as he could when sleeping on the floor.

"Albedo?" he stirred and eventually sat up to look at you "What?" his voice was scratchy and slightly hoarse. "Um..when did we get to the Inn?" His brows pinched together slightly, "Are you alright?"

He stood up and approached you're bedside, the careful posture he held and the tired but worried look in his eyes brought forth confusion. "I'm fine..i just hardly remember anything after i saw that statue" 

He came to a conclusion, but pushed the thought to the back of his mind until it needed to be brought up. For now, he was more preoccupied with making sure you were fine, healthy and most importantly yourself.

The words 'I'm fine' gave him reassurance but he had his worries but it wasn't his place to keep you caged up like a bird.

"I do have someone to go see, you may do as you please just try to avoid trouble or the Fatui" he got prepared for the day, brushing out his hair and changing in the bathroom. You on the other had were still slightly confused but nothing seemed very out of place.

You were at the destination that you were meant to arrive at, you slept in the bed while Albedo slept on the floor, which in this case was normal. Everything felt like it always does. Then, Albedo left after saying his goodbye's and be careful's which left the room eerily quite.

Being separated from him was indeed a different feeling, it felt void, like the world was watching every move you made or that feeling of dread and loneliness ramped up ten fold. But being alone didn't just mean you would sit in the Inn all day, who would do that?

And so you got up and got yourself ready, following the routine you've made over the past few months or so. even if that weird feeling followed you.

and out the door you went.

Out on the streets of Liyue, the sea of people that were there the night before had disappeared and fled to their homes after the shops and restaurants closed. They were empty, shops had barely opened up for the day and the fresh scent of dew drops on rooftops or blades of grass made the air feel clean.

it was empty, but all for one other person who walked the streets alone to enjoy the silence and atmosphere. He was familiar, yet impossible to place.

He paused once his gaze rested on you and you did the same, stopping mid-step before turning fully to face him. Dark brown hair that faded to a shade similar to Cor lapis, with eyes like crystals while dressed in rather complex looking outfit and it could not only be described as complex but also expensive.

"um, hi?" his face softened while you spoke, taking in the sound of you're voice with a dampened expression. "Good morning" He spoke, his tone hid the joy that didn't show on his stone face, but the low voice that rumbled in his chest was an immediate give away of just who he was.

And it shook you to the very core of you're being.

He hurried over to you when silent tears fell from you're eye sockets, "Morax"

"Radisana"

To affirm he was really there, he allowed you to squeeze his hand, doing so made you want to crumble. "But you.." he hummed patting you're head "Feigned my death? Indeed i did" he listened to the hiccups and soft sobs that escaped you.
