Pure (Albedo x reader)

We fall

People gave Albedo an odd look, carrying a badly wounded girl out of the city making no stops to rest. But he paid no mind, all he needed to do and all that he was thinking about was getting you to Dragonspine or more specifically to it's heart.

He knew plenty about the close connection you shared with the black dragon Durin, having spent years with the creature and even shaping its whole being. The heart had to be it, if it wasn't then he would have no clue what to do. While he jogged he would occasionally glance at your face, he was tired, this was exhausting but he refused to let go of you until he knew you were perfectly fine.

"Albedo.." you coughed, your eyes were barely opening and even keeping them open slightly was difficult "Shh, we'll be at Dragonspine soon..please don't move too much alright?" your mind was fluttering between the waking one and the unconscious one, while you did so Albedo was only growing more worried.

"I wanted to..get flowers for Klee, her birthday.." you meekly forced words out of your mouth but it was getting to hard to talk so you stopped all together. "We're almost at the foothills, just hold on a little longer and we'll be there soon" the closer he got to Dragonspine the more chill that ran up his spine telling him something was off.

The path that led to the cave the heart was in was oddly void of a lot of snow, there was no snow fall and it was oddly silent. "The caves just ahead" The looming bones of the dragons ribcage laid motionless in the valley, and just ahead was the cave with a pulsing red heart beating front and center.

Now all Albedo had to do was wait, he carefully laid you against a rock and sat just in front of you barely able to keep his distance. he kept a close eye on the wounds on your legs, but he didn't have to since he could tell the aura the heart was giving off was already taking care of everything. Your body glowed, the red grass grew taller and slightly latched onto you as if it was familiar with you.

every wound on your body was healed, each one except the odd void on your arm and if Albedo didn't know any better he would say it's almost as if it's alive. But it wasn't, it was simply like a scar left behind on your skin "hmm.." in the warmth you smiled. "You're still here Durin.." a low bellow echoed inside the cave when you looked up and met Albedo's worried eyes, your eyes softened.

"So..that's what you meant by not fully human.."

Albedo's hands couldn't help but shake, he wanted to hug you, squeeze you in his arms so he knew you were safe. But, if you understood the situation then he fear you cower from him if he tried to get closer but the words that left your mouth made his worries disappear.

"You could have told me..i wouldn't have left you" slowly moved then caught glance of the weird void on your arm. "I see..i must have tried to make a pocket dimension and screwed up.." you touched it and found it felt no different then skin "I really didn't think you'd get here faster then us.."

You and Albedo looked to the caves entrance, seeing a guy with long blonde hair braided "Aether..Aether!" Albedo stood up and you sluggishly did the same. "Radisana" He walked into the cave and tried getting to you but Albedo was in his way, "Move" Aether's voice became sickeningly scary but the alchemist was not affected by this in the slightest.

"You're not getting near her" Albedo responded, a passive aggressive expression on his face "Fine, then I'll say what i have to from here; The god of creation will face punishment for throwing her people to the side to save the soul of a corrupted beast, that thing on your arm will subject you into submission and allow the abyss to control you however i please. You can fight it all you like but you will succumb eventually, with what time you have your own will i suggest you say your goodbyes"

You stepped in front of Albedo, "I did not throw my people to the side, they chose the path they went down. I am not responsible for their trifles with life, that is my job not theirs, i considered it an act of treason" Aether scowled. "Whatever makes you feel innocent" Aether turned his back on Albedo and you, "Four days, that's when the spell will begin to take effect" and off he went, leaving the cave.

Albedo looked back at you, "We need not worry, i know exactly what can fix this.." Albedo raised a brow. "But it's oddly inconvenient that i cannot make it with my abilities, as if we're in a book" Albedo looked a little calm but the panic in his eyes gave him away. "Albedo please don't worry..i should be able to fix this" your hand hovered over the odd mark, "Y/n this isn't something you can fix, we should get you help"

At this point, you were really starting to worry "I..can't fix it.." you hugged yourself and covered your mouth as a soft sob left your mouth. "I Don't want to hurt anymore people..what if i hurt you or Klee?" Albedo hugged you with his familiar warmth engulfing you. "Do not cry, everything becomes gray when you cry"

"I assure you, you won't be used to kill the people of Mondstadt..i have a feeling they want to bring back what died here and they knew only you could do that.." he stroked your head a bit, Albedo was incapable of crying; he could not shed a tear even if he wanted to scream and cry. "four days, remember? Four days until Everyone in Mondstadt sets you free from this, so please do not cry"

"I will never let someone take you away from me, I'll save you as many times as i have to"
