Epilogue

The end of the battle left you free of your curse and in control of your body again, but you knew something was different. Something was surely off, a piece of you felt amiss like a part of you that was once full was now empty, like a shell.

Your eyes remained closed and your brows were furrowed, your body was stiff as a board and your body felt cold and numb. You unconsciously reached to touch the part of your side that felt like it was wet, but someone stopped you and at that moment you could open your eyes and the pain registered.

You tried to hold the place that was bleeding, Barbara was the one who was stopping you "Y/n please stop moving..It's hard to heal you but moving makes it harder" you groaned. "What happened..?" she sighed, "Lumine explained as much to me as she could, you fought the leader of the abyss..or uh..not you? Something happened and when i got to you to heal you, you had little to no blood..I really don't know how you're alive"

"Thats why I'm so cold.." Barbara chuckled, "Where..where is Albedo?" he smile slightly faded, "We carried you out of the valley to the other side of the river, he helped but everyone could tell he was incredibly guilty for what happened.." seeing your obvious confusion she sighed. "Lumine saw it happen..the way he completely changed..his eyes were a chilling reddish pink and the diamond on his neck was bleeding and seemed cracked.."

"But when he stepped out of the cavern carrying you, he changed back to normal" Lumine stepped in and crouched down to examine you. "Kaeya brought some bandages, do you know how to wrap a wound Barbara?" the blonde's shared a glance, "I've never had to wrap a wound that's this severe worst I've had is Bennett..well Bennett being Bennett.."

"I'll do it.." Lumine smiled as Barbara shook her head, "No no i can't make you do that! You only just recovered from your own injuries..Jean's healing is slower then mine.." Lumine sat down in the grass at your side. "I've wrapped my own wounds before, and my brothers..i know how to do this, it's no trouble"

"Alright..I'll go tell Albedo she woke up and we can continue to Mondstadt" Barbara stood up and left Lumine and you alone to find the blond alchemist. From where you laid you could hear Jean talking to Kaeya and the glimpse of Diluc that you got told you that the knights had arrived..even the former ones.

"Y'know..Jean had rounded up a special operation group that usually only deals with foreign issues, before this they were in Natlan.." you coughed. "Really..?" she nodded, "Kaeya seemed excited when they showed up, when i asked why he told me because he was with someone in that special ops group. With her in the same way you are with Albedo." she gave you a warning glance before putting ailment on the wound.

You flinched but really since you were so cold you couldn't feel it much, "Really..Kaeya huh?" She nodded "Yep, she's still here to, I've met her and I'm sure you would like to" you nodded.

"There.." she offered you her hand to help you sit up and gently pushed your back so you wouldn't fall back again. "Careful..i wrapped it tight enough so it wouldn't come off on it's own, But if your movements are too sporadic you'll start to bleed again..so just stay here..I'll go find her"

You nodded and gently touched your side, slowly you were starting to regain feeling in your body. You could move your fingers more, and the feel of the bandages was more apparent, they were soft and slightly rugged but nonetheless felt somewhat nice, familiar.
