Pure (Albedo x reader)

To those who are greedy

"Most are not is happy to see you again.."

Your peaceful sleep was interrupted by voices softly whispering outside, the roaring sound of wind wasn't as loud down in the valley so it made them completely audible, at least to you. Slowly and quietly you sat up and pulled the thick blankets off you, crawling over to the tents entrance and peeking out, the people outside looked odd. they were walking down into that cave where the odd pulsing heart laid to rest, one had a huge hammer and another had a tank of water on there back. there seemed to be someone infront, leading them into the cave but they were too short to see past the taller figures.

after glancing over at Albedo and Klee, you slowly got up to got out and follow them, putting your boots back on just as you stepped into the piercingly cold outdoors. the snow crunching underfoot as you followed the unknown characters into the cave, upon doing so you could clearly see the person that lead them into the cave, he looked fairly normal, he looked like one of those men Sucrose mentioned called treasure hoarders, and the other two that followed him looked like Fatui.

The one up front seemed to have been taken hostage as a test subject, once his hand grazed the heart an aura radiated from it. the man's body began to grow but then it turned black with corruption and venom, same happened to the Fatui that followed. Yet you weren't effected, the men's screams filled the cave and you watched in horror, it looked painful, it looked slow, without taking notice you fell to your knees and took a few deep breathes.

you had absolutely no idea what had happened, but it made you fear the very thing that caused it even more. "Albedo's right..that really is the heart of a vile creature" you scooted away and ran back to the tent then slowed down a little as to not make much noise, the cold air stung your throat, so you quietly took your shoes off and crawled back inside of the tent warmed by body heat.

Klee slept soundly and slightly messy, While as expected Albedo slept with a calm face and relaxed laying on his side to face you. as someone without a memory, you had put a lot of faith in him and you had complete trust in him. once again you laid down and pulled the blanket over your head, falling back into slumber after thinking a great deal about what just happened.

the small opening in the tent allowed mild light to seep in, Klee was the first to wake up and made no effort at trying to keep quiet because as usual she had plenty of energy to spare. you were her first victim since you were the closest to her, "ah! Klee!" you hissed as she leaped onto your stomach. "Hehe! good morning!" she yelped as you sat up and she rolled onto the ground, Albedo sat up and looked over at you. "I should have taken the middle" he sighed and ran his hand through his messy knotted hair.

"Is she always like this?" you asked, "more often then not, she's always energized that i sometimes get envious of it" Klee dug through her bag that she previously used as a pillow and pulled out a brush. "here!" she hand it to you with a smile "I'm sorry if i hurt you..i didn't mean to" her apology earned a heavenly smile, "no no its fine, i understand kids have a lot of energy in the morning"

she smiled then ran outside after putting her shoes back on, you brushed out your hair and hummed a small tune that lingered in your head since you met Venti, or Barbatos again. that humming soon turned into quiet singing, "up on a hill there sat a girl, in her hair were beautiful pearls.." your voice was smooth and soft. almost as if you had completely forgotten Albedo was still sitting behind you, you began to continue singing "In her eyes was a smile, as she waited all the while. in the sky above she felt homebound as the world before her was forever time-bound"

"Y/n" Albedo interrupted, "oh! jeez..i forget you were even in here" you handed him the brush and grabbed your coat, "Klee! wait for me!" you ran out of the tent and followed the small girl. for a moment he watched her throw snow at Klee as they had a childish snowball fight, even though it was childish, it brought a smile to his face. 

your laughter filled his ears as did Klee's, it made him want to join in on the fun even if his relaxed professional side may falter in front of someone he was already getting to attached too. But why not throw caution to the wind for once, no? with nimble movements, you ran and dodged Klee's snow ball attacks, while hitting her with your own, she grew frustrated with the fact that she couldn't hit you until Albedo's surprise attack caught you off guard.

"Ack!" you shielded your face from the snow ball then looked up to glare at him, a smug expression painted onto his features, "Hey!" he aimed another snow ball at you but you easily dodged and threw one at him "Help me Klee!" you whined as you ran over to her. in her hand was a snowball with a little piece of red sticking up out of it. He seemed to quickly notice, "Klee, I'm sure Jean wouldn't like you throwing bombs around again"

just before she threw it she whined and threw it up into the air as it went off in the sky, it was sorta pretty, "Alright, let's pack up and we'll head  to the ruins" 

sorry its a bit short, but I'll make up for it in the next chapter, maybe I'll have Albedo make a move? don't know, anyway, bye bye. oh and did you guys like my little song verse?
