"What's his deal??!" I ask as soon as we step out the dining room. Maybe this was my chance for some insight. Jimmy looks at me with a saddened face.
"I'm sorry corelena. It can't be easy waking up like this being here with langdon." We continue walking down the long hallways as we speak.

"Why aren't i with you guys or just not here." I ask sighing.
"Look corelena I know you don't understand right now, but Michael I trust him with you. I know the deep level of the importance you hold to him. I mean I don't understand why you have to be cooped up on your own, but if that's how your going to get better and strong than that's how it will be." He says as he stops us in the corridor turning to face me.

His eyes looked as if they could cry. "I'm just im sorry." He rub his arm comfortingly which came naturally. "Don't be sorry. If you trust him I'll trust him." I say as he looks down at the ground.
"I trust him with you, but I don't trust him corelena." He catches my attention as I glare up at him trying to understand what he meant.

"Can I ask something?" I whisper.
He looks concerned I quickly grab his arm pulling us into the room behind.
"What's behind the apocalypse why were you all so prepared I mean what even is the co operative jimmy it makes no sense?!" I let my mouth run free.

He grabs my shoulders and slightly inches in closer to whisper.
"We were prepared let's just say that."
"Come on Jimmy I know Michaels told you to hold your tongue. I'm in the dark here she's some light. You knew me before right wa-."

The door slams open revealing an infuriated Michael staring at jimmy who has my by the shoulders. He quickly released his grip fully turning to Michael. "Ah little cosy in here isn't it jimmy?"
"Michael we-."
I quickly interrupt "it was my fault. I couldn't help it I just wanted to know what's going on Michael. Jimmy here was declining he didn't say a word. I'm sorry." Jimmy looks at me with a sorrow expression he clearly knew this wasn't going to be good for me but I think it'd be even worse if he took the blame.

"Your transport is ready. Leave." Michael demands and jimmy quickly paces out not looking back.
Michael seemed to have the same dooming effect on everyone like no one dared to get on the wrong side of him.

"Are you trying to anger me Miss woods. Do you really want to unleash the evil is that what your asking for hmm?" He walks behind me as I'm frozen in fear his hand slightly brushing over my back as he fiddled with a strand of my hair.

"I told you. I warned you." He tugs on my hair pulling my head back as his face dips into my neck. "Fortunately for you I know your lying." I gasp as his hand flies face turning me around to face him.

"I appreciate the courage corelena. But lying to me you should know better. One word of advice, I know when you lie. So don't, Would you care to have desert with me, since your troublesome self had me finish the meeting early."

I was pleasantly surprised although this could be some sinister set up right? He swiftly exits the room as I follow behind. We enter the dining room as he pulls the chair out for me. I smiled as he did so.

He sat next to me placing his chin on his hand looking at me with intent.
"I'm pleased you are showing some traits. Behaving like yourself miss woods. It's improvement, yes you may have lied to me which you won't be doing again, but courage and sacrifice. One of your biggest strengths. Light the candles will you?" He asks with a bigger smile than I'd seen before.

I quickly focus on the candles sitting amongst the table focusing my mind like I had hours prior. Gracefully the candles lit up in sync I looked straight to Michael. "I'm sorry for lying."
"Forgiven this time corelena. Let's stop talking about it before I reevaluate." He says before the servants being out some good looking cake.

"I guess I haven't taken the time to appreciate the difficulty for you. It hasn't been easy for me either." He admits taking a bite of his cake.
"It's not easy watching someone fade away knowing tha... never mind." He stops but I was so eager to listen but I was in no position to push him right now I was kind of treading on eggshells.

We finished out deserts and i felt full for once! "I will walk you to your room." He says as we get up from our chairs. He spoke a little about tomorrow and how I needed to have rest once again the same old. We reached my room but I almost didn't want to part.

"Good night corelena. It's good too see you slowly but surely getting back." He grinned.
"Goodnight Michael."
