Yudhistira's Outburst

" wake up first " Vatsala made Shankara to stand up.

8 years old Shankara was weeping badly.

" now tell me why did you steal rice " Vatsala asked him softly.

" I am very hungry .... not ate anything from 4 days ...... 10 days back ...... my father was a soilder in the army .... he died here and my mother too joined him " He said with a shaky voice.

Vatsala and Vrishiketu felt sorry for him. Vrishiketu patted his shoulder.

" I was very hungry I asked for food from my neighbours but all of them were in grief .... none gave food for me... I asked in shops too but they asked for money ... I didn't had that much money because I spent all of them before...... my father and mother both were not there for me " He weeped.

" then I saw few people who were buying lots of grains from exchanging armours , swords and jewels I asked them about it they told they got it from the land of Kurukshetra they told just to take as much as jewels I get and come if anyone stops me they told to run away ..... I too did the same but on the way I saw rice so I grabbed a handful of rice and ean away to eat some where " He showed his hands where only few were remaining.

" I will not repeat it again please allow me go .... don't punish me " Shankara started to plead Vatsala who was in tears.

" go " Vatsala said calmly.

Shankara moved few steps forward.

" but where will you go ??? " Vatsala asked firmly making Shankara to lower his head.

Yudhistira finally cried bitterly infront of Narad.

By the time Ved Vyas too arrived there.

" Dharmanandan you have not killed Suryaputra karna " Narad said calmly.

" if his fate was like that what can anyone do ?? But we have to agree that if Indradev never asked to donate his Kavach and kundal , if he never gave any promise to devi Kunti , if no curses came behind him then it was impossible to defeat Dhanveer Karna " Narada said.

" what ?? " Yudhistira asked.

" do you remember Indra's message through Sage Lomasa ?? " Narada asked.

" yes Maharishi.... he said that Indradev had promised me that he will help me when needed " Yudhistira said.

" yes that's why Indradev took Karna's kavach and Kundal in charity in order to save Arjun as well as to help you " Narada said.

Narada explained Yudhistira about Karna donation to Indra.

Few days before ,

Karna was going to perform Surya pooja.

On the way he met a Brahmin.

He touched Karna's shoulder lovingly.

" My child I have heard that you will donate anything to anyone after Surya pooja .... today please think before donating anything.. " He advised him.

Karna was puzzled. Brahmain tried to elaborate his advice to Karna.

" tomorrow Devaraja Indra himself will come to ask your Kavach and kundal in charity from you don't give that .... except Kavach and kundal give anything to him " He said.
