Even on my worst day, did I deserve, babe
All the hell you gave me?
'Cause I loved you, I swear I loved you

Fuck stupid James Potter and his stupid face.
August had a plan. A very thorough plan that had a 0% chance of failure that Lori and Sadie helped her meticulously plan out.
And what did she manage to do? She managed to screw it up.
1. Ignore James Potter.
2. Limit all conversations to pleasantries and then get your tiny ass away from him.
(I have a big ass Lori!)
(Bitch, don't lie to yourself, I could do my Potions essay on your ass.)3. If worst comes to worst, look him in the eyes and act like the stone-cold bitch you are.
(Fuck off Sadie)
(Yes, just like that Augie.)4. Make sure that you're never alone with him.
5. Drown your sorrows in alcohol that we snuck into your bag. You can't be sad when you have Firewhiskey.
August miserably failed almost all the steps except 4 and 5. When she got home from the Potter house she would pull out the bottle from the bottom of her trunk and get shitfaced.

James Potter wasn't scared easily, nor intimidated. You had to have a lot of nerve to run around Hogwarts like you owned the place.
But James Potter was not ashamed to admit how scared he was of Odille Williams.
In the last few months, he hadn't seen her smile once or offer any of the motherly warmth that his own mother displayed.
"How was your term, sweetheart?" Euphemia Potter asked August.
They were seated in the Potter's living room. Euphemia and Fleamont sharing a loveseat, Remus and Sirius sitting with their thighs touching on the ground. Odille sitting on an armchair, regal and straight-backed. Peter, James and August sharing the big couch. James was trying his best to limit his body touching hers but somehow he couldn't force himself to draw his arm away from hers.
"It was good, thank you Mrs Potter."
"Oh sweetie, I've told you millions now that you can just call me Mia, you're like family."
"It's rude to call adults by their first names, it's taken me years to drill that into August." said Odille.
An awkward silence followed and August resorted to fiddling with the hem of her baby blue skirt.
James held back the urge to snort at the girl's insistence to never wear anything but silk from a small store in France that she insisted she take him too one day.
He was ready to hedge his bets that he wouldn't see it soon.
"And your NEWTS, how did they go? I'm afraid that the boys put studying on the back burner this year for their pranks and whatnot."
"Ata boys, you should be enjoying your last year." Fleamont beamed at the four boys.
Odille looked scandalized to say the least, "I trust you didn't leave your studies to the last minute like last year August?"
