You taught me a secret language I can't speak with anyone else.
And you know damn well
For you I would ruin myself

August,

You little fucking bitch.
How DARE YOU talk to James Potter.
My only conciliation is that you completed step 5 successfully and I imagine that the hangover was karma enough.
You're an independent woman and you DO NOT need James Potter.

America has been everything I expected and more. Absolute shit but I adore it. They call the No-Maj's. How stupid!

The minister is a needy bat and all I do is run after him ALL DAY LONG. Granted, that is my job.
I think you would love it here.

Once we're done with school I'm shipping you off to New York instead of a stupid ministry job.

I've also decided against a Ministry job, I absolutely loathe it. I think I'd much rather prefer to just become a muggle waitress and travel the world.

My sense of wanderlust has been revoked.

Love and kisses, you gorgeous human!
Lori

August chuckled at her friends words.

Lori was the person she loved most in the world, her twin flame, her platonic soulmate.

Lori wasn't the flash friend, the one everyone wanted to copy and follow around... Lori was the raw and rational friend, the one who wore her heart on her sleeve and refused to have her voice silenced. Lori was the one August could run to, cry with until the snot ran down her face... and would love her all the more for being so honest and trusting. And once Lori dried her tears she made her get back up and fight her own battles. Because no one could do that for her.
"Psst!"
"What?"
"I'm Lori and you're my new best friend."
"I've never had a best friend."
Lori clicked her tongue, "You do now."

August was pulled out of the memory by not one, but four boys outside of her window.

She nearly jumped five feet high from shock and clutched her heart, which she swore skipped a beat.

"I swear to God I will kill all of you and I'll enjoy it." She opened the window to allow the four boys to climb into her window.

"Is she this viscous in bed too?" Sirius mused.

"Yeah, scratch and bites and everything." James replied

"James Potter I swear" August didn't bother to finish her sentence and simply whacked him with the envelope in her hand.

"Dammit! Papercut."

The edge of the envelope had made a small cut on the boy's cheekbone.

"My bad."

"Say sorry." James lunged and grabbed her by the waist, tickling her sides as he spun her around.

The room filled with both of their laughs as the other 3 boys stood there watching, feeling as if they were intruding on a private moment.

Remus frowned to himself, he hoped James was making the right choice.

"Stop!" August squealed, tears running down her cheeks from laughing so hard.
