I immediately stop what I’m doing and turn to him, he’s seriously going to focus on the road like he didn’t just say I should marry him.
“I know its not the cutest, roses and all kind of proposal but I’m serious Snowflake. Please marry me”
He says and my jaw is on the floor. Is he serious?
“Eric”
He cuts me off
“If you want roses and everything then that can be arranged but Mbali I’m not getting any younger and I am certain about you and that I want to spend the rest of my life with you”
He takes out a box from his pocket and hands it to me
“At least think about it”
He suggests and I’m so dumbfounded right now. I’m only turning 18 this year marriage was not on my to do list. Especially now. I open the cute Cartier maroon box and a beautiful diamond sparkles
“How long have you had this?”
I decide to ask
“got it 6 months into our relationship”
He says so carelessly. He presses a button on his key and the gate opens then he drives in as the gate closes behind him. I’m so caught up I don’t even know what to say. We get out of the car and I still don’t know what to say to him, for me its awkward but he seems pretty chilled
“So tell me about your day Snowflake”
He suggests as he opens the door that leads to the kitchen from the garage.
“It was good I guess”
I say
“Mili is a sweetheart”
I say, he puts his things on the counter and then walks over to me and places me on the counter then stands between my legs
“hey”
He says with that charming smile of his, I smile back
“Hey”
I say with my arms around his neck
“So tell me what you thinking? Is it too soon? You not ready? Which is it?”
I shrug
“I don’t know, too soon maybe. I just never expected this that’s all. Its so random and out of the blue plus I need to talk to my mom”
I say, he nods
“But what about you? Are you ready for marriage?”
He asks and I shrug my shoulders
“I don’t know if I am but I know I love you and the idea of spending the rest of my life with you excites me Eric. I’ve imagined a future with you and its one I know I want”
I say and he smiles
“So?”
I smile and pull him in for a kiss. I kiss him until I feel myself getting wet from the kiss. I pull back
“So we doing this?”
He says and I nod
“Maybe next year though”
I say and he chuckles
“I don’t care when but as long as I get to spend the rest of my life with you”
He says and I chuckle
“Also we’ll go for marriage counselling”
I suggest and he nods
“Ofcause, I wouldn’t want it any other way”
So I just said yes to marriage… Uhhhhmmmm…

“The bed is going to be so cold without you”
I say that brushing her hand and she giggles
“You not going to die”
She says and I chuckle
“I just might from lack of Cuddles”
I say and she giggles looking ever so cute
“How did your day go?”
I ask and she smiles
“I made progress today in my classes, dad aint such a bad person after all and he’s going to give me an allowance”
She says happily
“that’s great Cuddles, I’m proud of you for the progress you made and I’m happy for you”
I say pulling her in for a hug and she lets me trying real hard not to tense up
“I love you Cuddles, cheating on you is the last thing on my mind. I’d never do that to you and i really don’t mind waiting for you until you all healed up and ready ok? Don’t push yourself for me, this is all about you and I’m here to support you and to love you and to be the best boyfriend I can ever be”
I say and she smiles
“Thank you”
She says, I nod
“You know we gonna have to talk about you having hid your side activities from me sooner or later right?”
She says and I let out a deep breath
“Uhhhmmm…”
She looks at me
“I got recruited when we found out Mbali was pregnant. It was the only way to ensure her father doesn’t kill me. That day I came back from him with a bruised cheek”
She nods
“I met your parents and I we didn’t get off on the right foot. Honestly we shared a couple of words because of them neglecting you so yeah… That’s that. Sakhile’s been with the Aces from since he was in grade 10 I think”
I explain and she nods
“I’m sorry I kept it from you, it was the only way”
I say quickly and she just nods slowly
“So Sabelo was part of the Aces?”
She asks and I nod
“that’s why he knew so much?”
I nod again
“And Sakhile’s been keeping this other life from Bulo?”
I nod
“That’s why he even went to Wits, its wasn’t because of his ex. Yes he was wrong for keeping his ex a secret but he found out when he went to register and their relationship ended last year when they were closing schools. They thought they’d never see each other again so they called it quits. Sakhile loves Bulo more than he’s ever loved his ex. If him coming here didn’t risk Bulo’s life then trust me he would be studying here but for her own safety it was always best he be in Joburg but Cuddles Bulo cannot find out about the Aces”
I quickly warn
“What about my safety?”
She asks and I sigh
“I don’t have as many enemies as Sakhile does but your parents do hence I’m here and theres people out here on campus looking out for you from afar”
I say and she frowns
“What do you mean?”
She asks
“You protected Cuddles at all times”

I honestly didn't think this gang thing of theirs was this deep, I mean I've always read and watched things of gangs and how dangerous it is but right now I'm at the centre of it all and it feels weird.
"This feels like a movie"
I say and he laughs
"How so?"
He asks
"I mean almost everyone around me is in a gang. Wait so what do you guys really do? Do you traffic girls, drugs and stuff?"
He shakes his head no
"It's best you don't know Cuddles"
He says and I don't move my eeye from him
"Honestly, you weren't suppose to know about the gang in the first place and not telling you what we deal with is for your safety too"
He says
"I don't follow"
I say
"You can't know stuff Cuddles, if you know then you'd be at risk"
He says and I nod
"I have to go"
I say and he looks at me
"Do you have to go now?"
He asks pouting and I laugh
"Yeah now Bulo will kill me if I don't come back"
I say and he doesn't stop pouting, he looks so cute
"Bulo does know you have a man right?"
He asks and I giggle
"Yeah but at the moment she doesn't have one so I have to support"
I say and he looks at me shocked
