-MBALI
"Mbali you not ready for marriage. You just had a child and you only doing your second year"
Mom says walking away from me, its been two days since I said yes to Eric
"I understand that but mom I'm sure about him as he is about me. We want the same things and we'll go for marriage counselling"
I say and she chuckles in disbelief
"You cant possibly be serious. You've thought this whole thing through? No Mbali you not getting married and he's older than you"
He says and I chuckle
"And dad isn't? Come on mom. Eric is old and mature and he's great with Mili. Nothing you say will change my mind"
I say walking away from her but she grabs my arm
"Mbali you young. You still need to grow up and as your mother I am against this"
She says and I shrug
"Good thing its not up to you. I am going to marry Eric and no, it wont be tomorrow or next year because I still need to finish school but mom he's going to be my husband despite his age"
I say and she lets go of me. I walk in my room and my baby is still sleeping. I kiss her cute parted lips and join her in bed. I wake up with her not by my side, I panic and walk out shouting for everyone and meet dad coming out of their room with Mili in his arms
"Hey Asi"
He says and I sigh out of relief
"I was worried"
I say and he frowns confused
"She wasn't by my side, I got scared"
He pulls me to him and gives me a kiss on the side of my head
"I'm sorry baby. You were sleeping so peacefully I didn't want to wake you and she was awake"
He says, Mili plays with my hair pulling it. I giggle
"Hey stop it"
I say trying to pull my hair from her grip but hers is stronger
"A little help here daddy"
I say and he chuckles helping me out of her grip. Finally my hair is free and little missy is smiling and making baby noises
"She's so silly"
Dad laughs
"But very cute!"
Dad says kissing her chubby cheeks
"What time are you leaving?"
Dad asks, I always leave around 6 to study and then Eric brings me back around 12
"usual, 6"
I say and he nods. We walk downstairs talking about my conversation with mom. Dad tells me he wants to sit down with Eric first and that he will talk to mom about this whole thing and get back to me.

I'm on campus and I just left the library when I meet with Sebe, been a while
"Hey"
She says and we share a hug
"Hey, long time"
I say and she chuckles breaking the hug
"I know, so much for being a godmother. How are you? How's my godchild?"
She asks and I smile thinking about my little Ise
"I am engaged and Mili is growing"
I say taking out my phone
"Back up. You engaged? Eric?"
I chuckle
"Yes, a couple of days back"
I hand her my phone and its videos of Mili
"Mbali congrats, that's amazing. Are you ready?"
I shrug grinning. I'm happy. I'm certain about Eric
"Yes I am. I love him and he loves me"
I say and she smiles pulling me in for a hug. We share a brief hug and then switch the conversation to Mili. She's busy admiring her on my phone and baby talking
"She is so cute Mbali"
She says
"And she's grown so much"
She says and hands me my phone
"Please send me these. I promise to come see her as soon as we done with test week"
She says and I just smile, I'm about to respond when my phone rings
"I'll see you around"
She says as I answer, I just nod. Its Gugu calling me

I couldn't be much happier for Mbali she deserves it, I know I should probably hate her for being my man's ex but I don't. Mbali is a great person inside out and though I think she's too young for this but I know they'll both make it work. I walk to the parking lot looking for Sam's car cause he said I'll find him here but I can't see it.
"I can't see you"
I send him a text. He doesn't reply and I get irritated, he calls after a few minutes
"I hate waiting you know that"
I say answering his call and he laughs
"I know but I also like hearing you all worked up"
He says
"Where are you?"
I ask cause I'm tired of standing her like a lost puppy
"Walk towards your left counting 6 cars from where you are"
He says then hangs up. I do as he said but still I can't see him. I huff in frustration, I was never good with hide and seek vele cause I can get impatient. I'm about to leave when he calls out for me, I turn and he's getting out of an M4
"I was leaving"
I say walking back to him
"I wonder who you take after being so impatient"
He says hugging me
"We'll never know"
I say breaking the embrace
"And whose car did you steal this time"
I ask looking at the breathtakingly beautiful car
"No one it's mine"
He says and I look at him tryna call him bluff
"You lying"
I say and he shakes his head no, I scream jumping up and down hugging him. I manage to get us some stares but I don't mind
"Dude are you sure you aren't pulling my leg?"
I say and he laughs
"I'm dead serious"
He says leaning on it, it looks good on him I must say
"Wow skati this is amazing congratulations"
I say pulling him for yet another hug
"You so sneaky, When did you buy it?"
I ask settling on the driver's seat, man this car would look good on me
"A few minutes back"
He says taking snaps of me
"You lie!"
I exclaim
"You the first person to see it"
I feel so special right now
"What about your girlfriend?"
I say and I see him frown
"Not right now, we'll talk about it later. Right now let's just celebrate in peace"
He says and I nod
"Please send me those pictures, I need to brag to someone"
I say, he looks at me funny
"Relax it's just Bulo and Khumo"
I say and he nods
"So when are you teaching me to drive?"
I say as we hit the road
"Not with this one I ain't"
He says
"Skati"
I say sulking
"Not gonna work hearty"
He says making me giggle
"Was worth a try though"
I say shrugging causing him to laugh
"How are the things between you and Gugu?"
He asks
"They are good, we haven't been intimate in any way since the incident and I don't know how to take of it"
I say honestly
"By not in anyway you mean?"
He asks looking briefly at me before focusing on the road
"I mean not even a kiss, last time he baby kissed me I froze"
I say
"Damn that's hectic. But you don't need to rush it if you not ready"
He says and I nod
"I know that, just I can't help but feel bad. I mean it's not like we have never been intimate before, what if he gets tired of waiting?"
I ask
"Hearty listen to me, that guy loves you and I'm sure of it. By that I mean he'd wait for eternity if he had to cause your happiness matters most to him I've seen it. Don't start doubting everything now okay? Wena just focus on your healing and the rest will follow"
He says and I nod smiling at him
"Thank you"
I say touching his hand and he gives me a warm smile. We drive for a while singing along to music until we park in some peaceful park.
"Come"
He says getting out and I follow him. He picks me up and puts me ontop of the bonnet, I giggle like child. He joins me and we sit looking at the kids play on the slides and stuff
"This is beautiful"
I say and he just gives me a 'mm'
"Okay, talk what's wrong? You should be beaming man you just bought my favorite car"
I say and he chuckles
"That's better, tell me what's eating you"
I say and he releases a heavy sigh
"It's Thando"
He says
"What did she do?"
I ask cause it seems like he's not going to talk
"She cheated on me"
Well expected that
"So you questioning whether or not to forgive her?"
I ask and he shakes his head no
"That I can get over but she tells me she loves the bastard and is carrying his baby"
I gasp in shock
"Skati"
It comes out as a whisper, Sam really loved the girl he was even talking about introducing her to the fam
"What is it that I did wrong hearty ye? I did everything, everything but still. Where did I go wrong?"
He says in a cracky voice
"You did nothing wrong and you don't have to blame yourself for her cheating on you and stuff it's not your fault. You did your best, I know you love her.."
He disturbs me
"Loved"
He says and I nod
"Yes loved her and it's her loss if she can't see what a great man she has let go of, skati you are boyfriend goals and more. It's okay to cry you know"
I say and he chuckles
"No I mean it, your heart is broken and to heal it cry, don't do things you'll wake up regretting the next day. It's gonna be okay, I don't know when but I will"
I say laying in his chest
"Thank you"
He says squeezing me
"Don't sweat it, so that's why you went and bought a car?"
I say and I feel his chest moving meaning he's laughing
"Iesh"
He says making me laugh
"Rich life neh, one gets their heart broken and off they go to buy a car. Kumnandzi neh"
I say
"I didn't know what to do and you were still in class"
He says
"Where's Marvin gante?"
He should've gone to him
"He's out of town for the day"
He says and I nod
"You know what will cheer you up?"
I ask with a grin
"I'm guessing you'll tell me"
He says rolling his eyes
"Ice-cream"
He gives me a faint smile
"Let's go"
He puts me down before opening the door for me. My phone rings and it's Gugu
"Mine"
I answer
"Have you dumped me?"
He asks making me giggle
"No of course not, I wouldn't even think of it"
I say
"Then why haven't I heard from you in hours?"
He says in a serious tone
"I spoil you too much"
I say imitating his voice, he always says that to me
"I wonder what will I do with you"
He Sars making me laugh
"You haven't forgotten about later?
He says
"What's later?"
I ask
"Sebe"
He warns
"Chill, I haven't forgotten"
I say
"Should I pick you up?"
He asks and I look at Lesh
"I'm with Lesh right now he'll drop me off"
I say
"Okay, greet him for me"
He says
"I will"
I reply
"I love you"
He says
"I love you more"
I say
"Well that's debatable"
He says and I giggle
"Don't start"
I say
"You did, bye Cuddles"
See he's running away.

Its been a couple of days, Sakhile and I roam around the mall, he's helping me pick out stuff for my anniversary with Sebe. I know it's a little too late and no I never forgot it but its just that its been busy with therapy and the self defence classes so now I want to do something for her.
"You need to make things right with Bulo"
I say to Sakhile, he's been calling and sending a dozen texts and apparently sent chocolates and a teddy bear at some point and flowers or whatever. But Bulo still wont talk to him
"I've tried every romantic trick in the book and she still wont budge. The things I bought her, the security took the things to her because she didn't want to see my face. I'm miserable without her"
He says sounding hopeless
"I'm sorry cuz but you made your bed"
I say patting his back
"I don't know what more to do. Lets call Mbali, maybe she'll suggest something"
He says and I chuckle
"No, plan a dinner or something. Ask Cuddles or Khumo to bring her to wherever you planning to take her. If she wont see you willingly then you have to make a plan for her to come to you"
He smiles
"You're good at this relationship thing"
He says happily and I chuckle
"yeah but you need to do a lot more than chocolates for Khumo to even bring Bulo to you. You not on their good books at the moment"
I say and he sighs
"Shiit keeps getting harder by the second"
He says and I laugh
"You'll learn with time"
I say and push the trolley. I'm merely just buying food to cook for her, Cuddles loves my cooking so its only fair. I've bought her a cute big Teddy bear and her favourite goodies and I don't know what else to get her because it feels like its not enough. I want her to remember this for as long as she lives, I want her to have the best day ever. Tomorrow we going to play games and be a cute couple. Ofcause its not easy but at least it's Saturday tomorrow.
"I don't know what else to get her"
I say and he shrugs his shoulders
"A weave maybe? I want to get Bulo one but I'm clueless with these things. Is Mbali still in Pretoria?"
He asks and I shrug taking my phone out. I dial her number and wait for her to answer
"To what do I owe this call?"
She asks, I haven't seen her this whole week. Yes I tuck Mili in but everyday I'm there she's always studying in school with her friends so I never see her.
"Are you still around Pretoria?"
I ask
"Yeah, I just left campus. Why?"
She asks
"Please meet me and Sakhile at Menlyn. I'll text you where we are"
I say
"Ok cool"
She says and we end the call
"Well Mbali is on her way. She'll know what to get. She knows these things better"
We go to the till and pay then head out just window shopping and talking about other stuff until Mbali calls telling me she's here, I tell her and we meet.
"Sakhile long time"
She says sharing a hug with Sakhile
"I know, been quite busy"
He says breaking the hug. She hugs me briefly then we break it
"So whats up?"
She asks
"You look good, you glowing. Doc giving it to you better than he ever did"
He says poking me laughing, Mbali rolls her eyes
"Sakhile I missed your stupid humour"
She says sarcastically
"Is that a ring?"
I ask noticing the unmissable rock on her finger, she nods smiling
"Yep, Eric asked and I said yes"
She says, I pull her in for a hug again and this time its tighter
"I'm so happy for you two"
I say and its genuine, I break the hug after she thanks me
"Congrats"
Sakhile says hugging her too
"Thank you guys but this is not why I'm here. What have you two done that you'd be desperate to call me"
She says and we chuckle
"I want to get my girlfriend a weave"
Sakhile says and Mbali's jaw drops
"And you need my help?"
She asks and he nods
"Ok, follow me then"
She says and we head to this store that sells hair.
"So what length do you want?"
She asks, he shrugs
"I want that long one"
I say
"It's a 32 inch Peruvian, very costly but you have all the money in the world now"
She says heading to some lady
"I guess I'll take the same"
He says and Mbali smiles
"That's cute."
She says and turns to the lady telling her what we want. She also requests that they turn the weaves into wigs for the girls. When we done we buy her supper and we part ways
