Leorio ended up falling asleep, and it made Kurapika smile. He removed Leorio's glasses, then kissed him on the cheek, then listened to his slow, even breathing. Shortly after, Kurapika dozed off too.
After about an hour, one of the waitresses came and woke up the boys. Leorio's mouth was hanging open slightly, and Kurapika's face was pressed against his shoulder, Leorio's glasses in his hands. She took a picture before she woke them up though, and sent them to Abby.
"Oh. Done already?" Leorio asked, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. He gently shook Kurapika awake, whispering sweetly in his ear.
"Huh?" Kurapika asked groggily. He looked around, blinking his eyes to wake him up, before he got his bearings. "Oh."
"We'll be back to the dock shortly. Didn't want to have to wake you guys up when we got there." The waitress smiled sweetly.
Leorio thanked her, and after she left he stood up and stretched, yawning. Kurapika looked around again, unsure of what to say or do.
Leorio sat back down, and the two cuddled until reaching the shore. They ran towards Leorio's car, for clouds had rolled in and it was beginning to rain.
"Did ya have fun?" Leorio asked, his heart beating loudly in his ears. He smiled when Kurapika nodded and whispered a 'thanks' before putting his hand on top of Leorio's.
The drive back to Kurapika's apartment was in a comfortable silence, the radio playing softly in the background.
Leorio walked Kurapika up to his door, and was surprised when Kurapika invited him in for a cup of coffee.
Leorio took a seat while Kurapika made the coffee. He smiled when he saw the pictures that littered the walls.
There was a picture of Kurapika with his childhood friends. That one made Leorio's heart ache. Next to it was a picture of Abby, Kurapika, and Leorio. It made him happy to think that they were equals to the people Kurapika had grown up with, that they belong on the same wall. There were also pieces of artwork, which surprised Leorio.
Just then Kurapika came in with two steaming cups of coffee, and he set them on the coffee table. The two started talking, and before they knew it it was morning. Leorio had spent all night at Kurapika's house, just talking.
When the boys realized it was morning, they decided to head to bed. Leorio didn't feel like driving home, so instead he crawled in next to Kurapika.
Kurapika moved closer to Leorio, resting his head on his chest. He smiled as memories came flooding. Nights before school, before... before everything, really.
"Night." Kurapika whispered, closing his eyes as he pulled himself closer to Leorio.
"Sweet dreams, Kurapika." Leorio whispered. Then, as he felt Kurapika drift off to sleep, Leorio gave Kurapika a kiss. One that would stay engraved in both of their brains forever.Hey guys!
