By the time Kurapika woke up Leorio was already awake. He sat on the living room floor, in his pajamas. Kurapika smiled when he realized Leorio was playing on the Xbox. He laughed as he plopped down next to Leorio.
"Morning sleepyhead." Leorio said, not taking his eyes off the screen.
"Good morning. How'd you sleep? I feel bad for taking your bed last night." Kurapika lied. He did not feel bad for taking Leorio's bed. It helped him sleep better than he had in awhile.
"I slept fine. I like sleeping on the couch, weird as it sounds." Leorio laughed.
Kurapika laughed as well as he went to find something for breakfast. He found some yogurt in the fridge, and threw some strawberries in it. He stood at the counter, stirring, as he watched Leorio play.
Leorio wasn't good, but he wasn't bad either. More like average. He got angry easily though, and Kurapika would laugh every time he threw the controller.
"Think you could do better?" Leorio shouted, thrusting the controller in Kurapika's face. Kurapika backed up, startled.
"I mean, I could try, I guess." Kurapika took the controller and sat down where Leorio had been moments ago. He began pressing buttons, trying to figure out what they all did. Once he had that down, he began to play.
Leorio starred in amazement as Kurapika pressed buttons. Kurapika was actually really good, which he did not expect. By the time Kurapika was finished, Leorio looked like his eyes were about to pop out of his head.
"Holy shit!" Leorio shouted, patting Kurapika on the back. "How'd you get so good?"
"I don't know, it just came naturally." Kurapika shrugged, going back to his yogurt.
"No way. You had to have practiced or something!" Leorio was in disbelief.
"We were in a relationship for how long? My point is, I didn't have time to do anything really. And if I did you would have seen me practicing!" Kurapika stood, horror struck, as he realized what he had just said. "I'm sorry, that's all behind us. I'm sorry." He apologized.
"It's okay. I forget sometimes too." The two sat in silence as they remembered the good and the bad.
"Hey boys!" Abby burst through the door suddenly, a smile on her face. She was completely unaware of what had just happened, but immediately upon seeing her both of them cheered up.
"Hey!" Kurapika said as Abby put her arm around his shoulders. "You're in a good mood." He laughed.
"Well, i just did something I didn't think I'd ever be able to do!" Abby's smile was ear to ear.
"What is it?" Leorio asked, plopping down on the couch.
"Do you remember that day we went to the mall? Well I just bought an old restaurant not too far from there!" Abby jumped up and down cheering.
"That's amazing!" Leorio yelled, jumping along with her. Kurapika laughed at his friends, taking pictures as they jumped.
"So what are you going to name it? I mean, assuming it'll be a restaurant." Kurapika asked once the two had calmed down.
"I hadn't thought of that." Abby sat down in a chair, concentrating on figuring out a name.
"Hey, we have plenty of time for that." Leorio put his hand on Abby's shoulder, smiling softly.
"You're right. We should probably come up with a menu!" Abby cheered up immediately. She couldn't keep a smile off of her face.
The three worked all day, writing down some of  Abby's best dishes. If the three were torn, Abby would make a little bit of that meal and they'd all taste it. By the time they had a menu ready, they couldn't eat anymore.
"Are you trying to make me fat?" Leorio asked, patting his stomach.
"Not currently. Do you want me too?" Abby laughed. Leorio and Kurapika laughed too.
"Well, I should get home. Thanks for having me!" Kurapika waved as he got up to leave. Abby waved back from the couch.
"Do you have to?" Leorio whined, getting on his knees and begging him to stay. "We had so much fun today!"
Kurapika pulled his jacket over his face to cover the heat rising in his cheeks. "Leorio, I have to go home now. I'll stop by tomorrow, I promise." Kurapika ruffled Leorio's hair before leaving.
Leorio sat pouting at the door for a minute. "Leorio, it's okay. He said he will be back tomorrow. Now, come sit down." Abby cooed from the living room. She laughed as Leorio stumbled into the room and fell, face first, onto the couch. "C'mon, it's okay. You'll live." Abby laughed, turning Leorio over.
"I guess. But you won't!" Leorio began to tickle Abby. She shrieked and kicked, trying to get him to stop.
Leorio tickled her until she could no longer breathe. They were both laughing as they tried to catch their breath. Every time one of them was close to calming down, they burst out laughing again. This went on for about ten minutes.
"It hurts to breathe!" Abby wheezed, clutching her stomach. Leorio got up and got her a glass of water.
"Drink slowly so it doesn't come out your nose." Leorio warned, chuckling.
"I will." Leorio sat down as Abby drank, beginning to doze off. By the time Abby finished the water Leorio was already asleep. She slowly shook him awake and walked him to his bed. She tucked him in and kissed his forehead before leaving.
Leorio fell back asleep almost immediately. The bed still smelled like Kurapika.
