Stepping inside her apartment, Abby flicked the lights on in the living room.  Kurapika stirred in Leorio's arms. Abby then opened the door to the guest room. As Leorio sat the drunk Kurta on the bed, Abby went to the bathroom to get him a pain killer. She also grabbed a water bottle and sat them on the nightstand as Leorio tucked him in.

"What are those?" Leorio asked as she sat the items on the table.

"For when he wakes up. He's going to have a terrible headache." She emphasized terrible indicating just how bad she anticipates it will be. Leorio just nodded.

The couple closed the door as they went to get ready for bed. Abby used the bathroom to get into her baby blue fleece pjs while Leorio used the bedroom to get into a pair of sweatpants and a old tee.

Neither one spoke as they crawled into bed to cuddle. Abby could tell Leorio was tense, so she tried massaging his shoulders as he stroked her hair. Apparently the massaging worked because soon Leorio's body was limp, his hand resting on Abby's tangled blonde hair.

Abby sighed, whispering "Goodnight." to a sleeping Leorio, finally allowing herself to drift into a peaceful sleep.

Leorio tossed and turned all night, his unconscious thoughts on Kurapika and his former home.

Time skip-6:30 A.M.

Kurapika's eyes flutter open to see a strange room. He quickly sits up in bed, his head pounding. He looks around to see a pill and water bottle on a side table. He hesitates before taking it, deciding it couldn't hurt that bad.

Kurapika sat trying hard to remember the events off last night. 'What happened and where am I' he thought. His mind kept drifting back to his recurring nightmare.

Kurapika's nightmare

Through the darkness I heard a scream. It was Leorio. I tried to run to him, but I was held back by chains. My mind clouded with images of Leorio being beat by the same group that murdered my family.

"Kura-" I heard Leorio yell for me. He stopped short. I heard multiple bones crack and it broke my heart. I heard laughing, probably from the people that were doing this awful thing to him. I heard heavy footsteps walking away from me, away from Leorio, and suddenly I was falling.

When I landed I looked around. There was a small window on the wall, covered with spiderwebs. I shivered. I HATE spiders. In the faint light I could see a figure. A tall man, about 6'4. His body was limp, and I ran towards him. As I ran I realized I had chains on my wrists.

Reaching the man, I realized who it was and gasped, tears threatening in my eyes. "Leorio..." I whisper, "Who did this to you?"

Leorio looked up, saying only one word. "Run!" He whispered, nearly audible.

"No!" I screamed, not caring about anything but him. He sent me a sad smile then his head dropped.

"No. No no no no no!" I yelled, trying to get him to wake up. "Please," I whispered, Please." I hugged the body before slipping back into blackness.

End of nightmare

Kurapika snapped back to reality, seeing a spider on the wall. He screamed. Abby and Leorio jolted awake, rushing into the guest room.

"What is it?" Abby asked, Leorio staying silent.

"Sp-spid-spider!" Kurapika gasped, rushing to Abby's side.

Leorio stepped past the two, grabbing his slipper off his foot as he went. He took his slipper and slapped the spider, creating a loud whacking noise.

"Got it." He said, looking at the guts splattered on the bottom of his slipper, then to Kurapika.

"Tha-thank you." He responded. Everyone stood there in uncomfortable silence until Abby spoke up.

"So, um, what does everyone want for breakfast?" She asked, trying to break the ice.

"How about omelets?" Leorio offered. Kurapika nodded.

          "Then it's settled!" Abby exclaimed.

'This is going to be a long day' both Kurapika and Leorio thyought as they followed Abby to the kitchen.
