Ace watched Yuni nervously walk up to him when she made her request. Ever since their interactions had increased he had a feeling that she would eventually ask him to join her instead rather than sneaking out.
"Tonight huh...? It's certainly late already. The timing now should surprise whoever you're killing." Ace said as he began putting on his helmet. Darklin flew by his side and rested on his shoulder as if they were ready to dispatch.
"Wait... You're willing to follow me...?" Yuni asked with a surprised expression.
"What? I said I was going to help you. I've been preparing to help you with this event for a while now. Whether you asked me or not. You can teleport us out if it gets dangerous right?"
"Yeah... We'll be going home..." She nodded her head.
Yuni was speechless as she stared at Ace blankly unable to finish her sentence. After a few seconds, Ace flicked her forehead to snap her back.
"Hey get back to reality already."
"Hnk...?! Huh...? Oh... right! Hehe, I'm really not dreaming. You really are like that knight..." Yuni says as he begins to look at Ace with awe she fixed her hair to hide her embarrassment.
Although Ace had no context on what she meant he simply tilted his head wondering who he was compared to.
"Well, well, well, to think the day has finally come." Razor walked downstairs alongside Elora who held a set of clothing.
Both of them turned their heads towards the direction of both Razor and Elora. Yuni was surprised at their appearance thinking that they were asleep at this late time.
"I'd expected as much that you'd know what will happen tonight. What will you do?" Ace asked directing his question to Razor.
"Obviously I can't do much for you guys, I still have to handle things on Hal's end after all. But if you're going to be with Yuni I shouldn't really worry as much. Hal predicted you'll play it safe and retreat after confirming that Yuni is safe but... looking at you now I guess he was wrong."
"He was right about that, Darklin and I were planning to leave this place. If he predicted this much has he told you what he will do after this? I'm still lost in whatever he's scheming." Ace asked still trying to piece together Hal's plan.
"Yuni's owners have a slave market business they own. Obviously, if they're dead ownership has to go somewhere right? You're pretty smart so I think you'll know from there." Razor explained.
Eventually Ace understood what he was trying to do.
"So that's what he's trying to do. I'll keep that in mind when I give him a call when tonight's over."
"Heh. Stay safe."
Elora walked up to Yuni and handed her the clothes she was holding. They weren't ordinary clothes but a special set of clothing that was modified for Yuni. When Ace noticed the quality of tailorship within the clothing he knew that his craftsmen skills were limited to average quality.
"This is for you, your majesty. I didn't have time to make something from scratch so I had I made Razor buy something that can easily be modified."
"Elora... thank you. I swear after all of this... I'll rebuild the Inera kingdom back to its former glory."
Elora just smiled at Yuni's confidence and placed her hands on both Ace's and Yuni's shoulders.
"Hehe, just make sure, that both of you come back safe. Ace... you make sure you protect her. Darklin please watch their backs."
