May 9, 20XX. 2 Years before the teleportation.
A week has passed since Aria has visited the academy.
Her uniform arrived just in time for school. She wore all the typical clothing fitting of a female student: the academy blazer, covered in black and accompanied with red lining; a white blouse with a red and black striped bow tie; and a skirt to complete the academy set. The school didn't have a particular preference for footwear, so Aria opted to use her previous school shoes, which were simply black, accompanied by the academy's optional black over-the-knee socks with a red stripe at the very top.
"The uniform is much better than the Sakura Academy," Aria said to herself as she looked at her reflection in the mirror. As she inspected herself, she immediately clutched her chest and began to breathe heavily.
"If it happens again... I'll-"
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
A pink alarm clock in her room began to ring, displaying 8:00 AM. Aria flinched at the ringing noise and deactivated the device with a simple tap.
"Right... that alarm was supposed to remind me to catch the train. But now, school is only a 30-minute walk from here."
Aria studied her reflection in the mirror. Her expression was dull, lost in thought about the hairstyle she wanted to wear. She decided on a simple braid secured with a hairclip behind her head. After completing her hair, she turned to her wardrobe, where a light pink shirt hung. Drink stains of various colours marred the fabric, and Aria examined them closely.
"...I'll finally get rid of that after today."
Aria gathered her things, a familiar knot tightening in her stomach as she left her room. She plastered on a bright smile for the orphanage caretakers and the kids huddled by the bus stop, her voice chirping with forced cheer. But the moment she stepped outside, the world seemed to dull around her, and the weight of her usual sadness settled on her shoulders.
-Da Vinci's Academy-
Despite the early hour, several students were already outside. Some were gathered in social groups, while others, who were members of sports clubs, practiced their chosen sports. The moment one student turned her head to see Aria, most followed suit, staring in awe.
Aria ignored the stares and headed straight to the faculty office. She knew its location thanks to Ace from the previous week. Upon entering, she requested her homeroom teacher to inform them that she was the expected transfer student.
"A pleasure to meet you, Aria. I'm Ms. Tana. I will be your homeroom teacher for this year," Ms. Tana greeted.
Aria nodded and bowed.
"Nice to meet you too," Ms. Tana replied. "Classes are quite different here compared to Sakura Academy. Every Monday, you'll have a twenty-minute briefing in homeroom, and every Wednesday, there's a designated lesson with everyone in the homeroom. I am also your math teacher, so feel free to talk to me anytime if you have any trouble."
"Since you've arrived a bit early, I'll give you a quick tour of the buildings. Follow me."
Ms. Tana showed Aria where most of her classes were located and her assigned locker. Afterward, she was shown the facilities where students often hang out during their free periods.
"If you ever need help and cannot find me, you can simply ask your class captains, teachers or anyone from the disciplinary committee."
"Thank you."
"Let's head to homeroom we've got a few minutes till the bell."
She made her way to homeroom with her homeroom teacher until she passed by a poster reading out 'Disciplinary committee members'. The committee was small only having eight members. She saw Ace's name and picture on the poster but didn't pay it to mind and continued to walk alongside Ms Tana homeroom.
