The moment they heard the bells clanging the girls immediately suited up for battle grabbing their armour and equipment. Once they were done they met up with Olivia's unit waiting for them in the hallway. The boys had already finished before the girls as they went out Olivia exhaled with relief.

"Good everyone's here. We're going to make our way to the courtyard, the enemy is not yet in range for our defensive units so we have time to make a quick plan. Let's move quickly!" Olivia ordered.

Aria's group followed Olivia outside to the courtyard where multiple units were making quick briefings.

"Holy shit it's actually happening." Caspar muttered.

"Make sure we all watch over each other!" Freya reminded them.

The rest of Aria's group nodded in unison following Olivia's lead.

Aria stayed quiet as she followed the unit. She looked around feeling the unrest atmosphere of soldiers frantically move about making last-minute preparations. She took a deep breath before putting on her helmet. Moments went by as she has yet to utter a single word ever since everyone was abruptly woken up.

They all arrived at the courtyard, where Olivia quickly introduced her unit specifically those next in command.

"Alright, I'll quickly introduce you to my right and left hands. If for some reason I'm not able to give commands they're the ones you turn to. To my right is Elaina and to my left is Thoma. They're the next in line in command if I were to fall in battle so listen to them if such an event happens to me."

Aria recognised the style of armour they donned as it was similar to hers and Olivia's, recognising them as fellow Spell Warriors. Spell Warriors or Spell Blades utilise specialised plated armour or woven armour for freedom of movement as their main goal is to utilise both physical and magical attacks within close combat. Inspecting their gear further, Aria noticed that Elaina and Thoma held a special spell blade to their side, enchanted with mana efficiency so the users could use less mana to combine spells and magic with their blade.

"You guys can count on us!" Thoma says with a salute towards the Hero group.

"We'll make sure to protect you Heroes." Elaina added with a smile.

Furthermore, Olivia's unit was diverse in jobs, 8 Heroes (Aria's group), 6 Spell Warriors, 10 Paladins, 4 warriors,  8 Mages, and 2 healers.

"Now I'll announce our plan. There's no point for us to stay in the fortress so we'll be moving outside. Ancel already has his Holy Knight unit stationed at the frontlines so barely any enemy projectiles will get through. A battalion of Paladins will be right in front of us to defend us. Our job is to simply fend off any leaked enemies that breach through the frontlines. The moment we see an opportunity we take it, dwindling their left flank for the middle units to breakthrough. Are we all ready?!" Olivia explained with such composure and experience in her voice.

This was the first time that Olivia had used such a loud and commanding tone in front of Aria as she was used to her caring tone. Everyone around her responded with a powerful "Yes!" With everyone but the Hero group stomping their right foot on the ground.

"Then let's move. Our position is the left flank. Be careful of any stray projectiles that come our way. We have Paladins for that very reason to block them." Olivia says looking at the Paladin group.

I do wish we had a few Holy Knights with us... Olivia thought.

Aria's friends had stayed quiet this whole time feeling the impending dread of war after each step closer to the fortress gates. They emerged from the tall iron doors that protected the way into the fortress, only to be welcomed by formations of soldiers positioning themselves towards the opposing army. The Allied Knights and Paladins all imbued their shields preparing for an incoming attack. Not only that they have to worry about the impending barrage, but Aria noticed a charging cavalry slowly closing towards their position.
