"Yuni, behind you!" Ace shouted, fending off several golems at once. He quickly slashed through five iron golems before leaping towards Yuni's position.

"Don't worry, I've got this!" Yuni called back. "[Offensive Art: Mana Slash]!" She imbued her sword with magic, unleashing a ranged projectile that struck her would-be ambusher.

The group had just reached floor 49, the moment they'd stepped onto this new level, golems and flying crystals materialized from every surface, ambushing them. These golems were far from the blocky constructs they'd faced before. Designed to resemble real knights, their agile builds allowed for swift, unpredictable attacks on any dungeon invaders.

The crystals, hovering in the air, came in various colors representing different elemental affinities. Red for fire, blue for water, and so on. Darklin focused on destroying these airborne threats while Ace kept the ground units' attention fixed on him.

Ten golem knights rushed at Ace, attempting to overwhelm him. Though both hands were occupied keeping the enemy at bay, he had another trick up his sleeve.

I really hate using this move.

He leapt back, quickly removing the lower part of his helmet. Puffing out his cheeks, he spat a compressed dark flame that exploded on impact with the golems. While it didn't destroy them, it staggered them long enough for Ace to prepare his follow-up attack. He cleared his throat and assumed a new stance.

"I'll finish this off with a signature. [Offensive Art: Dashing Edge: Four-Fold]"

The golems couldn't follow Ace's movements, in their field of view all they could see was a blur before noticing that their heads were on the ground. It took a few seconds to realise that its head was already decapitated.

"If you are done I need assistance." Darklin flies away from his pursuers shooting back whenever he has the chance. At least thirty crystals were chasing Darklin firing projectile after projectile.

Activating his wristbow Ace fired several arrows stopping one of the crystals in its tracks. The moment it lost its balance and fell Yuni swooped in to deliver the final blow.

"Just get back here, I can't fly to help out." Ace said as he looked up.

"I think I can give it a shot." Yuni said, who was about to jump upwards.

"Do not worry, just slow them down. I can do this." Darklin replied to the two.

Ace and Yuni readied their ranged attacks, aiming to destroy the crystals or at least slow them down for Darklin. Ace unleashed a barrage of Dark Javelins, obliterating three crystals in quick succession. His sudden assault diverted half of Darklin's pursuers towards him.

"I've got this," Yuni called out confidently. "[Crystal Burst!]" A white, flaming orb materialized from her hands, soaring into the midst of the crystals. Moments later, it detonated in a brilliant flash, shattering the surrounding crystals.

Darklin seized the opportunity. "My turn. [Darkening Cone!]" He spun to face the remaining crystals head-on, exhaling a dark, ominous smoke that engulfed them. Ace now understood why Darklin had needed their help. There were a few seconds of vulnerability as he spread the smokescreen.

As the crystals floundered in temporary blindness, Ace watched intently, sensing there was more to Darklin's spell. His instincts proved correct. After a brief pause, a dark explosion ignited within the shadowy field, annihilating the remaining crystals in one devastating moment.
