ANDRIETTE LOUISE DE VERA
Mr. De Leon was still looking at me with the smirk on his face. Ohh how I wish I could wipe that smirk off of him.
"Well? I expect you to move this year, De Vera. What are you waiting for? Christmas?" I couldn't understand why he was being so mean. I could read people, yes. But he had so much cockiness and confidence stapled on his stupid face that I couldn't see pass it.
Instead of biting back a remark that would've seriously bruised his ego, I took my leave.
Just after I shut the door my phone started vibrating, signalling a call. Pulling it out if my pocket, I checked the number before answering the call.
"Papa?"
"Meet me at the coffee shop at the agency. Now" then he ended the call.
What is it with males ordering me around?
I sighed and speed walked out of the giant property. It took me a while to walk out of the compound. Seriously, this mansion can might as well be a park. Who owns a house like this?
My family has lots of members and we don't even own a property like this. It's not like we don't it. We just don't need it. I also don't get the point of owning a huge mansion.
I mean, people die. It's not like you can take your house with you to the afterlife.
Once I reached the outside, I hailed a cab. I didnt like commuting for numerous reasons but I don't have my bike with me. It took a few minutes to reach my destination, another reason why I don't like commuting. It's frikkin' slow and I swear cab drivers purposely choose the long routes.
30 minutes later, I'm finally where I want to be. I got off the cab and tapped the side of the taxi.
"Thanks" I muttered as the driver drove away.
I sauntered towards the familiar coffee shop just beside the agency. And as expected, my Papa was already there.
Sensing my presence, he looked at me as I approached his table. My father barely left home. He said that he was too old for pollution to enter his lungs.
Surprise shot through me when I noticed what was beside him.
"How did you..?" I looked at him like he had mind reading powers. He had two bags placed neatly under the table near his feet. He took in my expression and looked at me smugly.
"Of course I know" Papa scoffed as he handed me his hand.
I pressed my forehead on his hand and stared at him. Still amazed that he packed my stuff.
"You could've atleast drop it at Mr. De Leon's house for me" I sat down across from him as a waiter made their way with drinks and cakes. I raised a brow at my Papa, amazed that he still remembers my favorite.
Iced coffee and mocha flavored sponge cake.
"It would've looked like I wanted to give my daughter away. Which is the complete opposite, and I would kill Adam for that" He kept on grumbling on about the 'torture' methods he'll use against Uncle Adam.
It never happens though. They're best friends. They're considered brothers at this point.
"Yeah yeah" I took a sip from my iced coffee as me and Papa continued to converse. We talked for an hour. It's about almost past lunch time when I decided that I needed to go before my client gets mad.
Just so you know, I'm concerned about the agency's image. Who knows what Mr. De Leon would put in as feedback. But I won't let it have negative ones, that's for sure.
"Papa, I'll go now. My client isn't exactly a cheerful person" I said as I slinged the duffle bag on my shoulder and held the other one in my hand.
"Oh I know" and the reason why Papa knows? I don't know either.
I kissed his cheek goodbye and left the coffee shop. I tried asking dad to atleast come wit
