ADONIS JAX DE LEON

The ride wasn't long. I believe it was only about 3 minutes. And the whole time everyone was chatting inside the luxurious car.

I still can't believe Louise was this wealthy. I know I sound really arrogant at the moment but the way she acts. I couldn't have guessed it at all if I was asked to determine her social status. The De Vera's were really famous and wealthy to begin with. Their last name goes way back when it comes to riches, such as ours. But it was just a new experience for me, you know? All the daughters of well-known business men that I have been involved with were usually posh, snobbish, and absolutely annoying.

But Louise. She was something else. She was like an enigma. A puzzle so complicated and easy at the same time, it was driving me crazy.

A puzzle that I was willing to solve even if it takes me a lifetime.

I didn't even notice that we stopped until everyone was hopping off the car.

When I got off, I resisted the urge to gasp.

Yes, their house-mansion was that good.

Coffee brown exterior in different shades welcomed my eyes. The house was illuminated by multiple lights that were attached in all the right places, making the house a homey, earthy tone.

And how could I forget about the huge swimming pool in front?

The pool was illuminated by white, water proof led lights that made the whole vibe of the house even more modern and classy.

"Louise would be back at 6 or 7, so we have 2 hours to spare." Mrs. De Vera chirped as she led us inside. The inside was fucking better than the outside. And I honestly can't think of any proper words that could describe this amazing piece of art.

"Louise does it a lot, you know?" Mrs. De Leon continued once we were all seated at their spacious living room. She had gestured to one of the maids to go grab snacks in which the maid had responded to instantly.

"She goes out for a while when she's upset. She hasn't really told us where. But I assume it's only for her to know. We all need our own place to escape to every once in a while." The maid came back with juice and homemade cookies. Jake instantly took one and munched on it shamelessly, making Mrs. De Vera smile.

"Does it happen often Mama?" I looked at her brother curiously.

"Shouldn't you know her habits already? I saw what happened earlier and you two seemed really close." I couldn't help but ask.

Why am I even asking? It's none of my business.

"I've been abroad for a few years, studying in med schools to further expand my knowledge in medicine. I actually just got back a month ago. Lots of things changed since I was gone. Honestly? I'm a bit sad and ashamed that I don't know the small things about my twin."

"You don't have to feel ashamed! I'm sure Louise is proud of you. I can tell." Madeline, the best comfort person you could ever ask for.

Louise's twin, Andrei, I believe, smiled at her in gratitude.

"Soooo, how's living with Louise? She isn't isolating herself, is she?" Aria, her younger sibling(?) suddenly pipped up.
