ANDRIETTE LOUISE DE VERA

Actually. A mixture of both.

My whole face burned, making me instinctively cover myself, saving the last of my barely existent  pride.

Louise you stupid idiot!

I wanted to hit myself. Maybe dig myself a hole and hide in it forever while I'm at it.

"Wait. I don't know your name!" The young De Leon suddenly screeched. It amazed me how a unearthly sound just came out of a 26 year old man.

But I couldn't make fun of it. My face was still hidden in the palm of my hands. I'd suffocate myself, but that'll be the lamest death ever. So, no. I won't kill myself today.

"Louise" I finally muttered.

"Just Louise?" He pushed.

"Andriette Louise De Vera"  Instantly, I snapped my eyes to Jay. My heated gaze was locked towards him.  I didn't bother asking him how he knew my whole name. I knew someone was looking through my files. And I knew that there was a possibility that it could be him.

The only thing that was bothering me was,

Where did Jay learn how to hack in a super secure computer, protected by my Agency's greatest hackers?

"Hey, Louise!" I looked towards my left. Jake was flapping his hands wildly in the air with Madeline, beckoning me to come closer. I rolled my eyes but still complied, pushing myself off the very comfortable wall I was leaning against and walking towards the couple who was soaking at the De Leon's private pool.

"Yes?" I asked. I didn't bother wearing a mask this time. The pool was indoors anyways.

"We just wanted to ask if you wanted to join?" Madeline pipped up once again.

I swept my eyes around the huge pool before answering.

"No. Thankyou" I turned around and returned to my wall of peace.

"Why'd you say no?" I jumped a bit at the voice near my ear.

"Get out my wall"

"Got you startled ey? I see your guard is falling down" I clenched my fists and looked at Jay who had a little smirk on his face.

"No I have not. I'll be happy enough to show you if you want, Mr. Hernandez."

His eyebrows raised.

" I see I haven't been the only one doing my research then"

"How'd you do it?" I asked.

"Pardon?" Jay looked at me.

"My files. How did you access them?" I looked at him in the eye.

"I know things" he crossed his arms over his chest.

"That private information is heavily protected with codes and locks no normal hacker can decode. And staff from my Agency monitor all the file activity in shifts. You planned this accordingly." I gave him a glare.

"Your Agency's codes are just easy to crack." He ran his hand through his hair without a care.

"I won't do anything to your files if that's what you're worried about." He continued.

"I don't trust you" He stared at me with a blank expression while I stared at him heatedly.

"Why not?" his green eyes bore on mine, challenging me silently.
