You couldn't help but roll your eyes as you heard your sister, Sachiko, talk about another plan to take down Mary. You've heard of this Mary but you never met her, you weren't sure why your sister was obsessed with her and you wanted to find out why. Perhaps Mary could be the key to bringing down your sister off her high horse.
You waited until after school to talk to her alone. You've heard from others about her gambling den so you decided to pay a visit to it. As you entered, you couldn't find the blonde anywhere.
"How can I help you?"
"I want to talk to Mary."
"I'm sorry. I'm afraid that's not possible. She has already headed home."
"Will she be here tomorrow."
Tsuzura looks to Yukimi for help. Tsuzura knew you were Sachiko's sister so she knew you weren't up to any good. Sensing Tsuzura's predicament, Yukimi makes her way over to the two of you.
"What's going on here?"
"I want to talk to Mary. All I want to know if she'll be here tomorrow."
"Why do you want to know?"
"My reasons are not important. I simply want to talk to her."
"Then I'm afraid that I can't tell you when you'll find her here."
With a sigh, you turn back towards the doors of the room.
"Very well then. We'll do this the hard way. I'll find her sometime during school. Be sure to let her know about me."

Mary was on high alert since they told her about your visit to the den. She wasn't sure why you wanted to talk to her but she figured it couldn't be good. Throughout the day, she was always accompanied by one of her friends so you wouldn't corner her alone. Unfortunately, before her last class of the day, her friends couldn't accompany her. Mary figured that you wouldn't seize the opportunity since her class was 4 doors down but she was wrong. At the second door, you grabbed her wrist and pulled her into the empty room.
"You're quite difficult to get alone. Any particular reason as to why that is?"
"Your sister is a fucking psychopath. I can only assume that you're exactly like her."
"I completely agree on the fact that she's crazy but I'm not like her. I promise."
Mary scoffs at you, not believing you for a second. The two of you were related, it was only reasonable to assume that you would be the same.
"I'm not buying it. Now what the hell do you want? Do you want to gamble for my life like your sister? Because there's no way in hell I'm gambling without someone making sure that the gamble is fair."
You were now starting to see what your sister saw in her. Mary was cute when she was angry.
"I don't want to gamble with you. I want to help you."
"Help me? You want to help me? I'm having a hard time believing that a Juraku wants to help the less fortunate."
"I've heard about your gambling abilities. You're quite amazing. To ease your fears, Sachiko and I might share the same father but not our mother. She gets her craziness from her mother."
"I'm not going to be dragged into some family shit. Leave me out of it."
Mary started to make her way towards the exit when she stopped as you started to talk.
"I wouldn't be so quick to decline my help. Sachiko seems to be obsessed with you and she's not going to stop until she gets what she wants from you. I suggest you rethink my offer, Mary."
"How can I know that I can trust you?"
"You don't but we're going to have to trust each other. Sachiko could make my life a living hell if she finds out that I partnered up with her obsession."
"Fine but the minute that I see that you're about to betray me, you're going down with me."
'I wouldn't expect anything less."

Mary never seemed to trust you despite telling you otherwise. She always kept you at an arms length by limiting the information she told you but she knew that she needed to come around and start trusting you. She wasn't getting anywhere in keeping Sachiko away and the only who could help her was you.
"So we both want to take her down. How do you propose to do that? We've already wasted too much time on figuring out if we could trust each other."
"I've trusted you from the beginning but it seems to me that you don't trust me. That's alright. I understood from the beginning that your trust wasn't going to come easy. Anyways, we can't take her down...."
"What?! But you said that you wanted to take her down. Why did you even partner up with me if you don't think we can take her down."
"You didn't let me finish. I meant to say that we're supposed to slowly chip away at her power. We can't do it all in one go. She's going to suspect that we're working together."
"So what you're saying is that I'm going to do all the work and take all the risks."
"Don't worry. I'll pay your bills if you end up losing in the gambles."
"I don't need your dirty money."
"But you will. You're good at gambling but not as good as Sachiko."
"Right. How do you know that you're not working for Sachiko to get me to lose and end up becoming her housepet."
"Because I want you."
You started working with Mary to take down Sachiko but as you got to know Mary, your motivation changed.
"For me to be your housepet?"
"No. For you to be my girlfriend. I can't exactly have my girlfriend being my sister's housepet."
"What if I don't want to be your girlfriend? What then?"
You smiled as she said those words. You could see that she was lying. You had always been good at spotting a lie.
"That's okay. As long as my sister doesn't win and you're free, I'm happy."
Mary didn't want to admit it but she had a gut feeling that you were telling the truth.
"Whatever. Lets start planning then."
