After taking a deep breath, you knocked on the door. Yumemi had said it was fine for you to come backstage but you worried Saori wouldn't let you in.
The door opens to reveal an annoyed Saori.
"What do you want? Yumemi is still performing."
"I...I know but Yumemi said it was fine if I could come back here."
"She did?"
You nodded, making her sigh and step aside for you to walk in. You give her a small smile when you take a seat in front of her.
Neither of you were friends so you both quietly watched Yumemi's performance till end.

The door barely opens when you rush to Yumemi's arms. Surprisingly, she doesn't get angry but rather she wraps her arms around you to hug you back. Saori found it strange considering that Yumemi hated having anyone invading her personal space other than herself. She didn't know what you were to Yumemi and it worried her that you could potentially be using her.
"I was hoping you would be back here. I didn't see you in the audience."
"I'm sorry. I just really wanted to see you."
She smiles and takes your hand to lead you to the back of the dressing room.
"Yumemi, could I have a word?"
You pout at your girlfriend, hoping that she would continue walking but you had no such luck. She turns back around to face her manager.
"What is it? I'm in a hurry."
Saori looks towards you and then back to Yumemi.
"I meant alone. This is kind of important." Yumemi gives you a reassuring smile as she tells you to go ahead without. You didn't want to be alone but she whispered to you that it wouldn't take long. Once you're gone, Saori starts to talk. "I thought you said that you didn't want any fans back here? Who is she?"
"If you must know, she's my girlfriend. We started dating a while ago."
"How long is a while ago?"
"Is it really that important? What matters is that I like her? Aren't you happy for me, Saori?"
"Well I am but I worry that she might be using you."
"Trust me. You have nothing to worry about."
"Then tell me how long the two of you have been dating for?"
"Fine. We've been dating for about 3 months."
"3 months and you're already allowing her backstage? Forgive me if I'm stepping out of line but I think this confirms my worst fears. She is definitely using you."
Yumemi actually laughs, catching Saori off guard. This was a serious matter and Yumemi was just blowing her off.
"I assure you. (y/n) is not using me for my fame. She's just a little needy. She doesn't like being apart for too long. In fact, she's putting in a transfer request to the academy next months because she doesn't like going to different schools."
Saori wasn't sure what to think. Considering that Yumemi hated how clingy and demanding her fans were, she found it strange that she was dating you.
"...and you're okay with that?"
"I'm perfectly okay with that. If I have any issues with it, I would've broken up with her the moment I realized exactly how clingy she could be. I actually like it so you have nothing to worry about."
Yumemi gives her a smile and then joins you in the back.

You were ashamed to admit that you had listened to the entire conversation. You had a feeling that it had to do with you and you couldn't resist. Saori was Yumemi's closest friend and you hated that she didn't like you.
"She doesn't like me, does she?"
"Who? Saori? You heard our conversation?"
You sheepishly nod, your cheeks heating up from embarrassment.
"I'm sorry. I just wanted to know why she didn't seem to like me."
"Don't worry about it. Saori is just protective. I'm sure she'll come around when she realizes how much you mean to me. Now just give me a second and then we can head back to my place."
You nod and patiently wait on her couch.

Back at her place, you clung to Yumemi as the two of you watched a movie.
"Are you sure you don't want some popcorn?"
You shook your head, preferring to cling to Yumemi than eat the popcorn.
Yumemi quietly laughs as she brings a few pieces to your mouth. She was more than aware of what you were thinking. It had been too long since the two of you had cuddled so you were taking advantage of the time you had before you had to go back to your place. You couldn't wait until you were allowed to transfer to Hyakkaou
