You stood by the sidelines as you watched Itsuki take on the new student. It always worried you to watch her gamble because of the types of she makes. She started off with money and then moved to nails when her opponent couldn't pay. Sometimes you often thought about what would happen if someone beat her and she couldn't pay.
Just like always Itsuki pretended as if she didn't know exactly where each pair of cards where. She got a couple of pairs and then purposely picked a wrong card to throw off her opponent. When enough turns had gone by, Itsuki uncovered the remaining pairs to win the game.
"That's a win!"
Her opponent began to panic, begging for another match. Something about the way she was beginning didn't sit right with you. No one had ever begged Itsuki like this. You pushed through the crowd of people and made your way to your girlfriend.
"Itsuki, please lets go home."
You ignored the gasps of the students behind you as they heard you talk for the first time. You've been in school for 2 years now and no one had heard you talk. They all believed you were mute including your teachers. If Itsuki wasn't so focused on winning another nail, she would've been happy to hear your voice in school.
Itsuki cups your cheek and caresses it with her thumb as she looks (up/down) at you.
"Let me play another match and we can go home."
"But Itsuki.."
"Please. (y/n). I promise we'll go home right after."
With a soft sigh, you nod and step aside for them to start their match. You're leg kept shaking from how nervous you were and you couldn't stop it. Your nerves got worse when Itsuki's opponent got to the 5th pair. She must've figured out the trick that Itsuki had been using. All you could do was helplessly watch as Itsuki lost.
Just like you had said, Itsuki's opponent had figured out her trick. She began to explain just how Itsuki had cheated. Itsuki was in tears, trying to desperately deny any of her allegations but it was impossible to do so as everyone had seen the girl do the impossible.
"Lets move on to the next match! This time we should both put out nails at stake. Whoever wins get to rip off all of the other person's fingernails and toenails. What do you say...."
"That's enough!"
You push the girl aside, nearly knocking her over. She seems to get knocked out of whatever trance she was in and laughs.
"Aww. The two of you are so cute!" She makes her way over to you to pinch your cheeks. "Lets be friends!"
The girl was crazy. One minute she was insisting on riping each other's nails off and now she wanted to be friends with her. You smacked her hands off of you and took a step back.
"You're crazy!"
Without another word, the two of you just leave the room.
"She's so cute, isn't she? I know she'll come around."
Yumeko tells Ryota as they both watch you leave.

It's not until you're both home and Itsuki had stopped crying when she finally realizes that you had talked in school.
"Oh my god! You talked! You actually talked! I can't believe it." She wraps her arms around you, holding you close. "You must've been worried enough about me to say something. I'm sorry for scaring you."
"Just don't do that again, you idiot. Kirari is not going to be happy when she hears what happened."
Itsuki groans loudly, hating how she had gotten too excited to realize what was happening.
"Don't remind me. Hopefully, she'll be nice about it if you're there. She seems to think of you as the student council's pet."
"I'm offended every time I hear that."
"Hey! That just means you can do whatever you want without any consequences."
"Whatever you say."
