Strike Down : Code 110797 (short Oneshot)

"Aaronne! Can i have a moment with you?" I ask her.

She is Aaronne Sakamoto... One of  my best friend for almost 3 years. Though hindi man kami laging nagkakausap, she's very reliable and trustworthy. Making her different from the other girls I met.

Not to brag, but me and my other friends were quite popular in our school, including the fact that we are in a music club, and represents the school every year.

"Sure what is it Hao?" she replied diverting her gaze from her phone to me.

Like I said, naiiba siya sa lahat ng babae dito sa school. Not just in terms of fashion or physical appearance but in general, especially her behavior and attitude.

She isn't afraid to say what's on her mind and very honest to everyone. Some might found it too harsh of her, but I think, it is fine. It is better to hurt someone with truth than making them happy with lies.

"Well..."

"What?"

"Pinag-isipan ko to mabuti and... I last night... I finally made up my mind." I started.

"And...." she said plainly.

"And I want to ruin our friendship," I stated not even blinking my eyes.

"Okay... So what's next? You want to be my lover?" She retorted making me surprised.

"...." I was so speechless, like know it is a very common phrase when you're confessing your feelings to your friend but...

" I overheard your conversation yesterday with  Soonyoung and Junhui. At first, I thought I was just hallucinating... But I guess I'm not." She said still wearing her straight face. my goodness, she is the most straightforward person I knew.

" So what will be your answer..."

"No." She simply said. Wait? what??

" Di ka ba nagbibigla sa sagot mo? No? Hindi naman kita minamadali. Pag-isipan mo"

"Wǒ zhīdào nǐ de yìsi. Wúlùn fāshēng shénme, "bù" dūhuì shì wǒ de dá'àn (I know what you mean. And no matter what happens 'No' will be my answer)" She replied." I'm sorry" 

"Is there anything I can do to change your mind?" I ask her.

She was about to reply to my question, but someone called us making our conversation pause.

"Aaronne, Hao. tara na practice na tayo." It was Junhui-hyung. I immediately notice how her facial expression change when she saw Junhui-hyung. Does she like him?

"Sige... Hao, ano tara na?" She said then grab me by my wrist and tag along with her. 

Why does she make me melt yet hurt me less than a second? And to Junhui -hyung, I don't wanna hate him kung siya talaga yung gusto ni Aaronne, but why does my ego say I should?

Pagkadating namin sa audio visual room, nag-umpisa na agad kaming mag practice ng mga sasayawin namin para sa music fest. Medyo nakakapressure kasi ngayon lang umabot yung team namin sa grand finals. So we need to practice so hard para manalo kami.

" Hoy sigurado ito na ipepreform natin ah?!" Soonyoung-hyung ask us as he writes the title of the songs that were about to perform.

"Wait.... Ba't andyan yang 'who' sino nagsuggest niyan?!" gulat na gulat na tanong ni Dino.

"Ako .. ayaw niyo ba?" Aaronne replied him.

"Ay hindi noona nagulat lang ako... Sige okay yun. Siguradong panalo yun." -Dino said awkwardly.

"Aigoo...kawaii desune.." She said and ruffled Dino's hair.

" Tapos after ng 'Who' is 'Lili Yabbay'" Soonyoung-hyung explain, but my mind seems off to something. Then that's it, I saw through my peripheral vision. Aaronne is laughing with Junhui-hyung.

" Di ba dapat nakikipag -cooperate lahat?" I blurt out suddenly catching their attention.

"I'm just helping Aaronne with her solo stage..." Junhui-hyung pout.

"Ay oo nga pala, noona excited na kami dun. Pero hindi nyo ba talaga sasabihin sa amin?" Dino asks them.  Wait ano toh?

"No... it's a surprise hehehe.." She laughed.

Time and days had pass at ngayon na yung music fest competition namin. Everyone was so excited except me. Natutwa naman ako na nakaabot yung team namin dito but, half for me, hindi yun enough para maging masaya.

"Hao-hao!" she greeted me.

"Jeumbidwaeso?" I ask her a bit akward....

" Yes pero may sasabihin ako sayo.... I'm sorry that I rejected you last month. But don't worry... I don't feel guilty about it. And hindi ko rin gusto si Junhui or sino man sa mga friends mo. I don't want to see you guys fight just for one girl. Okay...." She explained.

" Why are you saying this all of a sudden? "

" Well you see.... A lots of girls adore you so much and being envy that I'm always with you... "

" Did they hurt you... "- I ask her worried.

" No... They don't. Gusto ko lang sabihin na hanggang friends lang tayo... Pinahaba ko lang. " She said and smiled at me.

Though it hurts na bumalik sa kin yung pamemerenzone.... It's fine. Hindi lang naman ngayon e.
