Don't leave me again // Sakusa x reader

Face Masks

It was still dark when you woke up and you felt arms around you, startling you until you realised Sakusa was cuddling you. He was fast asleep of course so you took the time to appreciate his facial features. He honestly was incredibly handsome, you almost couldn't believe he used to be a small 8 year old, crying for you not to leave him. You snuggled into him, smiling before drifting off to sleep again.

It was morning when you woke up again, this time Sakusa was nowhere to be found so you decided to forget last night, chalking it up to being a dream. After a few more minutes you finally got up and headed downstairs where Sakusa was sitting, eating breakfast. "Morning" he said as you sat down at the table. "Mmm. Yeah morning" you replied, still tired.

You noticed a bowl of (breakfast) on the counter and picked it up. "For me?" you asked Sakusa to which he nodded. You smiled gratefully and sat down to eat with him.

After you'd finished eating and cleaned up you changed into old clothes you didn't mind getting ruined and brought out your cleaning supplies. Sakusa was wearing a pair of old shorts and T-shirt and you two began scrubbing the house down, with the exception of your moms and brothers room. It took a few hours to finish but when you were done the place looked brand new, sparkling and clean.

Looking over at Sakusa you could tell he wanted to shower, you did too. "You can go and use the shower, I'll use it after. There's fresh towels in the cupboard" you told him. He nodded and went upstairs. You heard the water pressure turn on and you waited downstairs for him to finish up. After about half an hour he came back downstairs, his damp hair falling past his eyes. You went up for your shower and when you came down you brought a headband for him and another for you. "What's that for" he eyed suspiciously. "It's to keep the hair out of your face while we do skincare" you explain, putting a fluffy one over his head. Surprisingly, he doesn't complain and lets you do it. You smiled at how cute he looked and put yours on.

"Now, mask time" you said excitedly bringing out two clay masks. "What does this do?" Sakusa asked, inspecting the packet. "It removes excess oils from the face and brightens the skin" you explained, him nodding slowly. You both applied them but you had to help Sakusa since his kept on getting streaky and uneven which you laughed about. You noticed he was super clean shaven when it came to a beard and you asked him. "You shave your beard?" He nodded. "It would get in the way of my mask and it's unsanitary" he stated.

Finally it was done and you were sat at the couch watching tv as you waited for the masks to dry. You had to keep reminding him not to touch it since it was still wet much to your amusement.

You got a text from your mom asking how you were and you got an idea. You opened the camera and leaned in near Sakusa so he was in the photo. You smiled widely, him startled by the sudden photo. He scoffed at you as you sent it, you giggling at how silly you both looked.

You sent the photo to his phone and he actually smiled at it, though it only lasted a second. "If you're gonna take a picture make sure it's a nice one" he sighed. Still, he saved the photo. After a few more minutes you both washed your faces off and moisturised before taking the headbands off. "Uh, can I keep this?" he asked you, looking away in embarrassment. "To keep the hair out of my face" he added. You giggled at his flustered expression. "Course you can, we can go and buy skincare products if you want, it's not really good for our skin to be under masks" you offered and he nodded, getting up and putting his jacket on. You did the same and you both put masks on and gloves before heading to the local pharmacist.

Once you were there you recommended a few brands and he ended up buying an exfoliator, a moisturiser and more of the clay masks since he said he liked them.

Once back home you decided you wanted to order food once before going on your volleyball diet. You and Sakusa decided on (favourite food) and you ordered it for delivery. Once it came, you and Sakusa sat onto the couch and watched the first few episodes of Hunter x Hunter. You'd finished it before but wanted to rewatch and Sakusa hadn't watched it before.

"Why does he carry around a fishing rod?" He asked you as you watched. "Cos it's kind of like his weapon for the first part of the show" you responded. He made an 'ah' sound and you continued to watch until it got late. "We should go to sleep now, practice starts tomorrow" you said to Sakusa. His eyes were glued to the screen. You had gotten to the final stage of the exam arc and Sakusa was fully invested in the show at this point. He reluctantly got up and followed you up to your room.

"Who's your favourite character" you asked him as you both laid down. He thought about it for a moment. "Kurapika. He seems the cleanest" he stated making you giggle. "Well I like Hisoka" you said making him cringe. "The pedo clown?" he said. "Not! A! Clown!" you said, poking Sakusa with every syllable. "So you're fine with the pedo part" he chuckled making you giggle too. "I won't deny he's weird but he's an important character throughout the story" you explained. He nodded, listening to your explanation until you both got tired and ultimately drifted off to sleep.
