About eight months passed since the farm got overran. The group has been on the run ever since. They were desperate for somewhere to lay low. They were desperate for food, water, anything. Delilah gave most of the food she found to Lori. Shane did the same. Delilah figured Lori needed it more than her. Lori was going to go into labor any day now and everybody was on edge.

Delilah quickly followed everyone into a house they parked in front of. Rick went in first and signaled Daryl and Delilah and a few others to come in after once it was clear. Delilah went on her own search and had her tomahawk close. She checked a small bathroom and looked in the medicine cabinets and under the sink. Like she expected, there was nothing there.

"Find anything?" Shane stopped and asked as he was walking past and saw her on her knees with her head down. Delilah closed her eyes and shook her head.

"It'll get better." Shane squatted next to her and patted her back softly.

"Hey." Daryl got their attention. Shane got up and left the room quickly. Daryl eyed him while he walked out.

"You okay?" He asked, holding an owl in one hand.

"Yeah." Delilah sighed and got up and followed him into the living room. Everyone was sitting down silently. Delilah sat on the floor next to Daryl. Daryl started plucking the owl he had.

Delilah watched Carl sit down and start to open a can of dog food. Rick stormed up and took the cab and threw it into the fire place. Delilah really didn't have the energy to do anything but she fought through it.

Everyone heard the moans of the dead outside and got moving. Delilah grabbed her backpack and flung it over her back. She grabbed her tomahawk and quickly made it outside with the others. She hopped on the back of the motorcycle and they drove off.

___

The group was on the road for maybe a half an hour before stopping again. No one wanted to be on the road anymore, sitting in the car and always on the move. Delilah got off the motorcycle with Daryl and met up with Rick and Shane. Everyone was going to look around for water or something useful. The four of them decided to go out on their own but not go far.

They followed a trail that would lead to a lake. They walked for a bit and in the corner of Delilah's eye she caught something. She looked to her right and saw a prison. Right we she caught sight off it, the others did.

"That's a shame." Daryl commented.

"Now that is exactly what we need." Shane exclaimed.

"We don't know how dangerous it is inside." Daryl explained.

"There's walkers inside the fences but the fences look in tact." Delilah said, looking through her binoculars.

"We tell the others. I think we can clear this out." Rick says and they all walk back.

Rick tells everyone about the prison they found and how it'll be a safe place for them all once it gets cleared out. They wanted to get at least the outside clear by the night.

The group made their way down to the prison and cut their way through the first fence and tied it shut. Delilah ran with everyone to the entrance and everyone stopped and admired the place.

"It's perfect. If we can shut that gate, prevent more from filling the yard, we can pick off these walkers. We'll take the field by tonight." Rick explained.

"So how do we shut the gate?" Hershel asked.

"Going in there is a suicide mission." Shane exclaimed.

"I'll do it. You guys cover me." Glenn volunteered.

"No, Shane's right. It's a suicide run." Maggie denied.

"I'm the fastest." Glenn insisted.

"No, you, Maggie, and Beth draw as many as you can over there. Pop 'Em through the fence. Daryl, Delilah, go back to the other tower. Carol, you've become a pretty good shot. Take your time, we don't have a lot of ammo to waste. Hershel, you, Carl, and Shane take this tower." Rick gave out his orders.

Delilah ran to the tower they were assigned to with Daryl and Carol by her side. They quickly made it up to the tower. Delilah got her gun ready and waited for Rick. Rick went into the open field and some walkers were following him. Delilah started shooting walkers one after another. When she ran out of ammo, she reloaded. She watched Rick close the gate and go into his own tower.

Delilah felt a slight smile form on her face. This could be a place to call home.
