The group worked hard to get rid of the bodies in the field until the sun went down. Delilah was exhausted but had to stay strong for the group. When the heavy work was done everyone wanted to relax. This was the first time they have felt safe in a long time.

Delilah sat in the grass by the fire with everyone else. Rick was pacing back and forth around the field. Daryl was by himself on top of a bus. Daryl cooked up the owl he caught earlier. Delilah had a few pieces but left the rest for everyone else. Delilah got up and walked over to Daryl. She jumped up on the bus and sat down next to him.

"We deserve this, all of us." Delilah commented and Daryl agreed.

"Have you had anything to eat?" Delilah asked and Daryl shrugged.

"You have to eat a little bit. Tomorrow is gonna be a long day." Delilah explained.

"Have you eaten anything?" Daryl asked her. Delilah rolled her eyes.

"Yes I did. Now stop acting like a child." Delilah joked and Daryl chuckled at her.

"I got it Delilah." Carol spoke up from the ground, holding a bowl. Delilah smiled and helped her up. Delilah left the two alone and went off in her own.

She made her way to the fences and looked out, examining the land. She looked up at the stars through the trees. She watched the stars flutter. The winter was extremely hard for all of them and they needed this place. Shane walked up beside her and started looking at the stars with her.

"This place...it's a chance." Shane broke the silence. Delilah sighed.

"Yeah." Delilah didn't break the contact with the stars.

"Lori can have her baby here." Delilah commented.

"Yeah, the baby is Rick's and I have to accept that. But I'll still see the baby." Shane said. Delilah smiled.

"Yeah, that's good." Delilah turned to face Shane.

"I'm sure everything will be okay. For all of us." Delilah put her hand on Shane's cheek and cupped it. Shane accepted her embrace. He smiled and inched his face closer to hers.

Delilah glanced down at his lips. She internally begged for a kiss. Shane leaned in and placed his lips softly onto hers. Sparks flew through Delilah's body and returned the kiss. When their lips parted the two of them couldn't stop smiling.

Beth started to sing back at the camp. Delilah and Shane walked back to the fire together and sat down, listening to the two sisters sing.

The next morning Delilah got woken up early. The morning breeze was chilly. Delilah sat in the grass, resting her eyes. That was the most rest she has gotten in a long time. Rick gathered up people to clear the walkers.

Delilah got ready with the others to clear out the walkers. The group of seven formed a circle and made their way in the gate. Delilah was between Daryl and Maggie. They slowly moved in killing the walkers around them. Delilah was surprised at how well they were doing. There was one gate left that had at least a few dozen walkers inside.

"Daryl, now!" Rick yelled. Daryl nodded and quickly sprinted over to the gate and closing it.

The only walkers left were the ones with riot gear on, the helmet covering their head. Delilah tilted her head, trying to figure out what to do with the one coming slowly at her. Daryl tried shooting it with his crossbow but the arrow bounced off the front of the helmet.

"That was smart." Delilah joked and when the walker got close enough she grabbed the back of the walker's armor, keeping the front of the walker away from her.

Maggie killed one by lifted its head and killing it by the neck. "You see that?" She exclaimed with a huge smile on her face.

Daryl moved onto another walker coming at them and put an arrow through the back of its head under the helmet. Delilah smiles still holding the walker. Shane came up and Delilah tilted the head up. Shane stabbed the knife up through the neck and Delilah let the body fall.

"Well, that wasn't too bad." Shane commented, walking back to the group.

"Let's just see what's inside." Rick added. The group opened the door to a cell block. Everyone piled in with their weapons ready. It was empty, like it wasn't touched.

Delilah called everyone else in. When the rest of the group got inside Delilah watched their faces light up. Delilah examined the cells.

"It's a little dirty bit we can fix it up and make it more like home." Carol said while looking around.

"Home." Maggie smiled at the word.

"I ain't sleeping in no cell, I'll take the loft." Daryl said while going up the stairs. Delilah watched her brother disappear up the stairs.

The group had a little while to rest and get settled down in their cells before having to go down in the 'tombs' Tdog called them.

The same seven that were clearing out the walkers were getting ready to go down. Hershel joined them this time. Delilah reloaded her gun with the last bit of ammo she had. She kept her tomahawk in her hand.

T-dog opened the door and they all piled in. Delilah turned her flashlight on, shining light into the empty hallway. As the walked through the halls, Glenn made arrows with spray paint.

The next corner they turned was covered in walkers. Everyone jumped back in surprise. Delilah turned back and got cut off from the group. She was all alone until she bumped into Glenn and Maggie. All three of them almost smacked each other.

"Daddy?" Maggie called quietly trying to find the other group. Delilah and Glenn a few stray walkers, making their way through the halls. A scream echoed through the tombs alarmed the three of them.

Delilah led them through the tombs and to the soirée of the scream. They arrived the same time as the other group. Rick smashed a walkers head that took a bite out of Hershel's leg. Maggie frantically called for her father as walkers were surrounding them.

Delilah frantically looked all over for somewhere to go. She helped Rick and Shane carry Hershel inside the cafeteria Tdog found. Daryl and Tdog helped keep the door closed. They lied Hershel on a table. Rick was pacing around with his hands in his head.

"We gotta do something." Glenn exclaimed, supporting Maggie.

"Is there anything we can do?" Shane asked. Without a word Rick started taking off his belt. Delilah furrowed her eyebrows when she realized.

Maggie took her fathers hand and Delilah supported his head. Rick put his belt right above the bite and took out his axe.

"Oh god." Delilah said to herself and turned her head. Rick started going down on the leg. Delilah cringed when Hershel's screams pierced her ears. It took a few hits before the leg was gone. Delilah slowly opened her eyes. Hershel went limp in her hold.

"Holy shit!" A voice came from the kitchen. Delilah looked up and made eye contact with prisoners. Daryl aimed his crossbow at them immediately, Shane beside him pointing a gun at them.
