They parked the car somewhere the Saviors will likely not find before walking the rest of the way. Delilah's lungs burned at the impact of her heart beating in her chest as she kept pace, catching up to the rest of the group towards the gate. Shane beside her, checking his watch periodically. Simon was on his way to check for Daryl since they noticed his escape. They didn't know how far out he was and they were pushing it close. The deal with the Kingdom was to be kept quiet until further notice. They kept Daryl hidden and as far as the Saviors know, they don't know about the Kingdom.
The gate opened within their arrival, Tobin greeting them with urgency. "Lose the car?" Tobin questioned looking at their condition. Sweat beading off of their faces from the sun beating down on them. "Uh, it's somewhere safe." Rick assured as he walked past him, the rest of the group not too far behind. Tobin followed close behind him, asking more questions. "You didn't find anything?"
"No." Rick kept his pace ahead as he started, "Listen, you need to get everyone ready-"
Their heads whipped behind them as vehicles were heard behind them. Simon and his people were driving up and through the gates. They watched as they piled in like they owned the place. Shane and Delilah stepped back for the vehicles who drove past them, Carl and Rosita doing the same. Everyone silenced.
Rick started to walk toward them and everyone stepped in behind him to approach the Saviors. The deceit will begin sooner rather than later. The Saviors departed the vehicles and approached them, guns in their hands. The threatening stance of all their people made Delilah nervous as they got closer.
"Rick. Hello" Simon greeted with his hands out. The friendly game he played before the questioning. "And...hello again."
"We thought it'd be longer." Rick clarified, acting clueless why they would be here so soon.
"Do you think we're here for a tribute? Do you?"
"Is there another reason?"
"There is. We're here for Daryl." Simon got closer, just a few feet from Rick.
"Negan took Daryl." Rick stated the obvious while still playing the clueless game. Simon clutched his belt and gave him a smile. "Oh, but...then your kid showed up, Daryl went missing—might those two things be connected?" He shrugged using his hands as calibration while he spoke.
"They're not. We didn't know he was gone till right now." Rick wore no expression but curiosity on his face.
Simon's smile grew across his face further. "Then this should be easy." He exclaimed before raising his voice so it can be heard from his people. "Now, everyone find a buddy. Gonna have to follow us around. If he's here, we really need you all to see him die."
