Everyone started to cheer when Amy and Andrea showed up with a bunch of fish. Delilah could tell something was up when Dale walked over.
"I don't want to alarm anyone, but we may have a bit of a problem." Dale said pointing up to a field where Jim was digging.
"You tried talkin' to him?" Delilah asked, walking up beside Shane.
"Yeah, he's not responding. I'm worried about him." Dale said shrugging and looking at the digging man in the distance.
"Well, let's talk to him again." Shane said, signaling them to follow.
The group walks up the hill Jim was on. Delilah watched the man that was drenched in sweat. She could tell he was exhausted.
"Hey, Jim. Jim, why don't you hold up, all right? Just give me a second here, please." Shane said, getting the man to stop.
"What do you want?" Jim said, putting his shovel down in the dirt.
"We're just a little concerned, that's all." Shane answered.
"Dale says you have been out here for hours." Morales spoke up.
"So?" Jim asked.
"So why are you digging?" Shane asked.
"Are you heading to China, Jim?" Shane chuckled at his joke.
"What does it matter? I'm not hurting anyone." Jim continued to dig.
"Except maybe yourself. It's one hundred degrees today. You can't keep this up." Dale said, concerned.
"Sure I can. Watch me." Jim said, slamming the shovel into the dirt harder.
"Jim, they're not going to say it so I will...you're scaring people. You're scaring my son and Carol's daughter." Lori stepped up beside Dale.
"They got nothing to be scared of...I mean, what the hell, people? I'm out here by myself. Why don't you all just go and leave me the hell alone." Jim exclaimed before digging again.
"We think that you need to take a break, okay? Why don't you go get yourself in the shade? Some food maybe. I'll tell you what maybe in a little bit I'll come out here. I'll help you myself." Shane offered.
"I'll help too." Delilah shrugged, thinking about how there's nothing else to do. Shane glanced at her and nodded a 'thank you'.
