33:
May kaonting salo-salo do'n."
"Let's . . . walk?" Tyrone asked. I nodded.
We walked away from the closed gym, following the pathway.
He's looking at me too now. He stopped walking in front of me.
"D-Did you received my texts?"
Napalunok ako bago nag-iwas ng tingin. "Y-Yes."
Tumango siya. "I know you won't reply, though."
"I'm . . . I'm sorry. I realized my mistakes when you left me. Katrina, I'm sorry."
I took a deep breath, trying to stop myself from crying. I let him talk while I listen carefully.
Katrina, I don't plan on giving up on you, especially when you finally told me that . . . that you love me. I will earn your love and trust again. I will . . . I will do everything for you. And this time . . . I will listen to you more than I did."
"I don't know if you still love me but it doesn't matter. Now that you graduated, I will continue earning you again like I did before. I will continue courting you better than I did, and this time, I will not forget that I have an original dream even before I met you. This time, I will really do it right. Will you let me?"
I pursed my lips and look at him.
"Napipigilan ka ba?"
With me, saying that, he laughed out loud before pulling me closer.
"Hindi," he said, laughing, while swaying our body.
I hugged him back as I bury my face on his chest. "Thank you for coming."
"I'll never miss this." He sighed in relief, still hugging me. "Your graduation means, you, being near me." He sighed again. "I missed you so much. How dare you endure the six months without me?"
I sighed. "I missed you too."
"I'll court you again."
I smiled a little. "Kahit na nasaktan at iniwan kita?" I hugged him tighter. "Kahit na . . . iniwan kita?"
"I'll court you again."
He sighed. "I will court you again, Katrina."
He pinched my cheek. "Manliligaw ako sa taong sigurado na ako."
I chuckled. "Okay."
He smiled again. "I want to kiss you."
