Finding Rhegitt Strife

Thirty Three

The day has finally come. The day that Rhegitt Strife has been waiting for. She was awake early in the morning, the sun hasn't even risen yet.

Her dog, Roku was awaken by her shuffling, she's standing on front of the ceiling to floor window. The dog went to her, rubbing its body on her leg.

"Good morning Roku. Let's take a drive shall we?"

The dog looked up at her furiously wagged its tail in excitement. She changed into a new set of clothes and took a leash with her to tie up her dog.

Once they were in the garage, Rhegitt took the Audi RS7. She let her dog inside the passenger seat. Before they could drive away, Rhegitt's brother caught up.

"Where are you going?"

"Oh, I thought you were sleeping."

"I'm coming with you." Rad said and entered the car, making Roku jumped on the backseat.

Rhegitt drove away from the mansion. "So, where are you headed? Are you running away again?"

"I thought I already answered that on the meeting?"

Rhegitt chuckled.

"I'm on my way to think. I'm glad you're here."

"Why?" Rad inquired.

"So we could talk, siblings to siblings. Away from prying eyes and craning necks."

Rad nodded.

They stopped on a drive through to get themselves some food and coffee.

"You really love coffee, don't you?"

Rhegitt just put her cup on the cup holder and drive again. This time, they were taking the road towards the Malibu mountains.

"Who wouldn't?"

Roku barked and let his head outside the window. He was enjoying the ride.

Rad looked at the dog and ruffled his head.
"Did you know that Roku was the one who give me the map in your whereabouts?"

"Yeah, I thought so when I saw him with you when you were at Rey's house."

"I'm sorry about that." Rhegitt glanced at her brother.

"Nah, let's put the past behind us."

"But if I haven't showed up, you're probably enjoying a normal life with Jai."
Rhegitt sighed to what her brother had said. It was true though. But she didn't respond.

When they reached the Malibu mountains, they stopped at the view deck. They let Roku out and let him walked around. Both of them stayed still inside the car and munch on their food and drank coffee.

After eating they got out of the car and looked at the horizon in front of them and the breathtaking view it has to offer. Even if both of them went here most of the time, they still couldn't comprehend the beauty the mountains brings.

Especially Rhegitt, since she's always in the laboratory or at the office in the Strife Corporation, one of the Strife Empire buildings and business they own.

"You know that we have to go in the Empire's main building for the renouncement of your title right?"

"I know." Rhegitt smiled and crossed her arms. It was cold because the sun hasn't reached the peak of the mountains yet and blessed it with its morning glory.

"Rad, I was thinking that we should have our own children to let them inherit our legacy." Rhegitt started and that made her brother surprise.

"That was the goal right? Find a good woman like Mom, and marry her."
