Nothing but Childhood Friends

Rantaro POV

Today Kokichi,Kaito,Shuichi,the girls, and I were late to class. Maki was scolding Yuri for refusing to wake up this morning. All of us tried to wake her up and she wouldn't budge.

"Why didn't we just let her rest... now we're all going to get in trouble.She's not even in our class. She's in Miss Monomi's." Shuichi asked looking down at the ground. I think today was the first day they'd been formally introduced to each other. So it was only natural that he didn't seem to like her a lot.

"Why don't you take off that dumb emo hat?" Kokichi said hopping at his side.

"Leave him alone you Kokichi." Kaito said pulling him away from Shuichi.

"WAAAAH Kaito is so mean." Kokichi fake cried running to me and grabbing my arm. Kaede chuckled and patted Shuichi on the shoulder. The two of them were childhood friends like me and Kokichi. And childhood friends never like each other. Zero feelings there.

"Hmm you've been avoiding me these past couple of days." My own childhood friend Kokichi whispered in my ear. "You know what we did isn't serious right?"

"You don't kiss friends like that Kokichi it isn't right." I replied quietly. Suddenly he hopped up to me and kissed my cheek. I gasped and everyone turned towards us.

"Something wrong Rantaro?" Kaede asked looking from me to Kokichi.

"Everything is fine. He's just being a pain." I laughed trying to smile.

"God I'm dating an idiot." Yuri frowned and began walking again. Kaede suddenly decided to approach me and held my hand. She seemed a bit worried.

"Let's go! The later we are the worst the punishment." Kaede kissed me on the other cheek.

"You two are super close." Kaede told me as I shoot another basket. Of course her statement made me lose my perfect score. "Kokichi doesn't seem to have a lot of friends. So I'm glad you too are close. He can be annoying but I can tell he has a good heart." Kaede smiled.Such a beautiful Angel.

"We've known each other since childhood." I smiled to myself. "He does have friends in his organization but they go to other schools or are in college. It's hard for him to open up to people." I passed the ball to Kaede and watched as she clumsily threw the ball at the hoop and missed.

"Wait the organization is real?" She asked as she went to get the ball. I nodded and she laughed softly. "You're such a good friend to him you know. People always tell me that I'm kind and understanding. But I feel like everyone overlooks how much you do." She blushed and approached me. "So my parents are out of town this weekend. And I'll be alone."

Now it was my turn to blush.

"You can come over if you'd like."

"Alone at the Akamatsu home? Sounds pretty romantic. I bet you have pianos everywhere." Kokichi smiled as he entered the gym. Kaede puffed her cheeks and looked at Kokichi. He was holding two bentos, one panta, and a coca cola. My mom usually packed bentos for the both of us and it was normal for him to go through my things. Kaito thought he was stealing from me once. So he and Shuichi interrogated him.

"And I bet your house has.... games! Because you love video games." Kaede was bad at coming up with insults.

"Nishishishi you're so adorable piano freak."

"And you're so tiny." Kaede patted him on the head.

"Meanie." Kokichi frowned. "Are you going to go get some lunch?"

"Yeah I'll be back! You two better wait for me before you eat." She grinned before running off . Me and Kokichi sat down on the bleachers.

"So a weekend alone at your girlfriends house." Kokichi smirked. "You better bring condoms."

"Shut up Kokichi." I said walking him on the head.

"Ouchies." He cried. "Well you better make the most of the situation. It'll be fun to spend time alone with Akamatsu."

"I'm not sure if I'm ready to.. you know do stuff like that with Kaede. She's sweet and all but I'm not sure if I'm ready."

"Then do you want to practice." Kokichi asked turning towards me with a suggestive look on his face. I turned red and shook my head. He leaned in and lightly kissed me. I couldn't help but to fade into the kiss and wrap my arms around him.

Kaede Pov

What good buddies it looks like they're hugging over there. "Hey guys I'll be in there in a second. I have to catch up with Yumeno." I peeked into the gym for a second before running towards Himiko.

Rantaro POV

"She'll be back soon." Kokichi whispered in my ear. He lightly licked my neck and snuck his hands under my shirt.

"Baaaaack!" We quickly broke apart and turned towards Kaede who came into the gym innocently. I felt bad for what just occurred between me and Kokichi.

"So you two going to fuck?" Kokichi asked skipping towards Kaede. She stood still and blushed. He took a dumpling off her tray. "It's so adorable seeing your relationship develop Nishishishi. Soon Avocado will be sooooo busy with basketball, you, and his friends that he'll forget about me." Kokichi laughed like a maniac. Kaede looked at him a bit sadly.

"Rantaro would never abandon you... he's a good friend." Kaede responded.

"I'm going to go before I make things to awkward bye." Kokichi smiled and skipped off.

"Did I do something wrong?" Kaede asked when he was gone. "Does he thinks I'll replace him?

"Don't worry he was just teasing you." I smiled and pulled her into a hug. "Besides...I don't think he's actually jealous. He's been popular with girls ever since the first year of highschool."

When Kokichi got his first girlfriend I felt jealous. As if someone was taking him away from me. The very first week of school he captured the attention of a super popular third year. I know for a fact it pissed a lot of guys off. The third years called him a man whore and attention seeker who used his cute face to get take all the older girls away. Kaito would talk shit about him to the rest of the basketball team. Especially after Kokichi pulled a prank on the kindest player Gonta. Even quiet Shuichi had his complaints. But fortunately the two of them get along now.

"That's understandable. I felt that way when Maki began dating Kaito and when I found out my one friend is secretly a lesbian and has a girlfriend. Wait I wasn't supposed to tell anyone that." Kaede panicked.

"It's ok. Just respect your friends wishes to keep it private." I smiled.

"Rantaro... maybe you shouldn't come over this weekend. Wouldn't it be fun for us to all hang out as a group again? So that no one is lonely." Kaede asked sweetly.

"As fun as being alone with you sounds I guess we can do that." I kissed Kaede softly on the cheek. "You're so considerate and sweet." She giggled and hugged me. "Besides we can go slow for a bit. Maybe we can go on a trip during summer break." I whispered in Kaede's ear. "Me... you.. in a private room maybe?" She turned red and ran out the room. I laughed and followed her.

Mr.Monokuma POV

"Damm that make out session has me hot and heavy." I said peeking from under the bleachers.

"My heart was pounding the whole time. It's so great to see students bonding." Monomi agreed.

"Right bounding..."
