We were home again, wherever Sanem and our son were that was home, but that little cottage would forever be the place of our chance meeting, of our appointment with the destiny that awaited us and that we both deserved.
For this reason, one evening, as we sat down to dinner at the table under the big acacia tree, I made Sanem find a key suspended in the air held by a transparent thread hanging from a branch, right in front of her plate. She was amazed, took it in her hand admiring the beautiful red bow that adorned it and looked at me questioningly.

- This Sanem is the key to an important part of our love, it is the key that opened the door to our second life, it is the key that reopened our hearts.

This key will allow us to come here whenever we want, when we have moved into our new home and when we are old and the children have gone far away. This place will always mean too much to us to leave, it's yours Sanem I bought it for you from Murat, Yusuf's friend.

She looked at me with eyes sparkling with joy and emotion but also with all the love that is possible to feel in this world, she slowly left his seat and came to sit on my lap to thank me with a breathtaking kiss. Wow, how could she make me want her more and more every day? I couldn't explain it.

That's how they found us arriving Aziz and Mihriban, rounding the corner hand in hand, laughed in delight at Sanem's obvious embarrassment as she jumped up and ran to greet them.

Sanem

What a shame! We had been caught like two teenagers in the throes of a hormonal storm, I got up to go and hug them both, happy to see their joyful expressions.

We invited them to sit down and told them the news of Can's purchase of the cottage, while Aziz took his nephew on his lap without ever letting go of Mihriban's hand. Evidently during our absence things had taken the right turn between the two of them, I was truly happy, Mihriban deserved all the best in life, she was an exceptional person.

Aziz cleared his throat.

- Guys, we have been waiting for your return to make the announcement first of all to you who can understand us better than anyone else.
The destiny has divided us for a good part of our life but in the same way, thanks to you, it also wanted to bring us together. We are here to tell you that:

WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

I jumped up enthusiastically, and ran to hug first a Mihriban with flushed cheeks but a face shining with joy, and then a happy and satisfied Aziz that things had finally taken the right turn. Can hugged his father touched, both of them were, they knew they were extremely lucky to have had a second chance to have back the women that destiny had chosen for them, even in spite of all the contrary events that had divided them.

They informed us that they did not intend to wait any longer, they had already arranged everything while we were away and the wedding would be held the following Saturday, two days later.

It was a simple wedding but full of emotions, I offered my father to celebrate it in the beautiful garden of our new home since, now that the grass had grown, we could appreciate all the efforts made to restore it to its original beauty.

The bride and groom were shining with joy and all the guests were clearly overjoyed for them, perhaps the ones most aware of the good fortune they had had were Sanem and me. Only we could understand what separation for all those years had meant to two souls who had always belonged together.
Speaking of souls and belonging, I looked with my eyes for my beautiful wife that just in that moment was heading towards me, I stretched out a hand to accompany her in my arms, but she took it to drag me towards the point of the terrace where some couples were dancing a romantic slow dance.

Finally I could hold her in my arms, could it be that I missed her every single moment she wasn't there, in my arms?

She raised his eyes to look intently into mine.

- Can, my love, since we found each other again, you have done nothing but show me all your love with words and deeds. I didn't think it was possible that you could love me as intensely as I know I love you, you asked me to marry you, you made my dream of going to the Galapagos come true, you bought the little cottage for us so we could come back whenever we wanted  to that magical place where we were once again in each other's arms.

As if all that wasn't enough you took this house and you are restoring it to welcome our family, it's beautiful, I love every single corner of this that will be the nest for our family but, what do you think if, since we have finished painting Nihat's little room, we start painting the room next door too? Who knows maybe the walls should be pink there.....-.

I stopped in the middle of the track, I slightly detached from her to look at her face, I couldn't believe she was saying what I was thinking, when I saw her smiling the sweetest smile, when I saw those dimples appear that every time made me tremble deep inside, I knew it was true, she was telling me that another baby was coming, our son or daughter.

All I could do was to lift her off the ground in my arms and start spinning around screaming
- Eveeett - Yeeeeessss!!!!- it was a scene this place had witnessed not long before when she had agreed to marry me. It was destiny, evidently, that this terrace would witness all the most beautiful and exciting moments of our lives, starting with my first "Seni çok seviyorum" (I love you so much) to the wonderful news of another child on the way.

Everyone was looking at us curiously, I put my beloved back down holding her close to my side and smiling I was happy to share our joy with the loved ones around us.

- Friends and relatives, I'm not crazy, I'm just the happiest man on this earth.
I already considered myself extremely lucky when this exceptional woman agreed to marry me some time ago, but apparently I must be damn lucky because I just learned that I will be a father again very soon -

Saying this, with a huge smile I lifted her up in my arms again and started to spin around while a spontaneous applause started from all the guests present who were clearly sharing our immense happiness.
