A few months had passed since that evening, a few months of pure joy. Can had gone crazy, he treated me like crystal, he was so sweet. He made me feel like a queen, he said he had to compensate for all the attention he had not been able to give me during Nihat's pregnancy. He was the most tender daddy, he tried to take care of the little one as much as he could to allow me to rest and at the same time he spoiled us in a shameful way.
He was definitely keeping his promise to me: he was trying to make me happy in every way and I must say that it was definitely working.
I was happy and soon I would be even happier. This time we organized the surprise together, Can helped me to plan everything well, we invited our families, Layla, Emre, Yusuf, Metin, Denise, Deren, Cey Cey, Akif and his wife Asena to a lunch in an elegant restaurant on the banks of the Bosphorus.
We had said we wanted to celebrate the arrival of the baby and the move to the new house that was now ready to welcome us.Arriving at the restaurant we found that there was a lot of traffic in the area, it was almost impossible to find a free parking space.
The lunch was consumed in the name of joy and conviviality, we were very happy to have all those dear faces around us.
At a certain point, a visibly excited Can stood up and called everyone's attention.- You are the dearest people in our lives, we have always been close to you in moments of discouragement as in moments of joy, you were there when a few months ago I told you to feel damn lucky because this exceptional woman was going to make me a father for the second time, well today I have no more words to define myself, I can not believe I have deserved so much joy in my life but Allah wanted to bless us so much and we want to share it with all of you .... we are not waiting for a child, we are waiting for two! -
There was an explosion of jubilation in the restaurant, shouts, applause, smiles, pats on the back, everyone got up to congratulate us. As I welcomed my parents into my arms, I thought to myself that I still couldn't believe it, when some time before we had gone together, hand in hand, at the first check up we were as excited as ever, Can was definitely excited.
He wanted to enjoy every single moment that he had not experienced during Nihat's pregnancy, when the doctor exclaimed - Congratulations gentlemen, you are expecting twins - I thought for a moment that he might faint. She froze for an infinite time and then squeezed my hand tightly, reaching for a kiss full of love and joy, we could not believe it, my father had a twin brother, but I could never think of having twins of my own.
As lunch drew to a close Can stood up and asked everyone to follow us, they gave us quizzical looks but did so.
Can, holding my hand tightly, led everyone to the inner garden of the hotel that housed the restaurant, there was a stage set up under a beautiful gazebo, a myriad of people already sitting and waiting, journalists and cameras in every corner. Can seated everyone in the reserved seats in the first two rows and sat down next to me holding my imperturbable hand, while all our guests tried to intercept our glances for explanations.
A few minutes and a man took the stage to speak.
- Herkese hoşgeldin, welcome everyone, today is the day so many of you have been waiting for.

Phoenix, the Phoenix has finally risen from her ashes and has been reborn to new life, she has decided she wants to share this rebirth with all of you.
It is with great pleasure that I present to you the writer who has seen her novel translated into 25 different languages and has sold millions of copies worldwide, here is Phoenix, the Phoenix who for the first time reveals herself to her audience.
Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you SANEM AYDIN.
Can
I saw her get up and go on stage and my heart swelled with love and pride, that beautiful woman, that exceptional woman was mine, she was the essence of my life, SHE WAS my life.
She was the mother of my son and now, in that already decidedly rounded belly, she was expecting two more children from me. How had I deserved all these blessings? I had done so much wrong with her but, despite everything, she had been able to forgive me and had made me the happiest and most complete man in the world. I turned around to see everyone's reactions, Mevbike was in tears clasped in the arms of an equally moved and proud Nihat of his little erkenci kuş, Yusuf was just as moved and proud as Nihat, he was the only one, along with Metin, who knew about the huge success of Sanem's first book.
Layla couldn't stop clapping her hands as she smiled enthusiastically at her sister's success. The others appeared incredulous, amazed, and happy for their friend who had achieved her dream beyond all expectations.
Sanem waited until the audience had fallen silent to begin speaking.
- I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the affection you have always shown me, also through the blog with which I have always been able to talk to those who wanted to have a contact with me.
At that time my situation did not allow me to reveal my identity, the phoenix had to burn constantly and for a long time in order to be reborn from its ashes.
In the second book I will tell you about this, about the labor and suffering it had to go through being reborn each time but I have to reveal that, just before I finished writing it, many things happened in a short time and the ending changed accordingly. Initially I wanted to write that the Phoenix, despite everything, had managed to realize itself, had taken courage and had learned to face life alone reborn from the ashes of a destroyed love, but one day, suddenly, from those ashes was reborn instead of love, love with a capital A because unique and indestructible. The book necessarily had another ending, the Phoenix was reborn, it is true, but she was reborn thanks to the unconditional love she received from the man of her life, from her albatross, who had left, she had feared she had lost him forever, but he had returned for her and for their love.
I wanted to end my second book with an invitation to hope, even when the night seems darkest and stormy out of nowhere a small light can come on and, if given a chance, that light can grow to completely dispel the darkness and the storm. This is the message with which I want to greet my readers: have faith, something wonderful can be waiting around the corner.
Even from the ashes of the most devastating fire, great love can be reborn.
Teşekkür ederim, thank you -
My heart had greedily absorbed each of her wonderful words, I couldn't even recognize which was the prevailing feeling in that moment: love, pride, joy, tenderness, adoration, I felt all those feelings put together and much more.
She was unique.
And she was mine.
