"Sigurado ka ba, Sir?"
"You're asking a stupid question again. Why do you think we're on our way now?" kunot-noong tanong niya at hindi ako binigyan kahit isang saglit na sulyap. His eyes remained on the road.
"I'm just making sure. Pwede pa naman tayong bumalik hanggang di pa tayo nakakarating."
"Tss..." I heard him. "Which way?"
Although I'm quite thankful about letting Kuya stay with us for a while, I also cannot help but be worried.
I'm sure that if he's mad, he'll show it. He will never try to supress his emotions. That's why he's being weird today...
Sorry in advance for the trouble we'll be causing..." mahina kong saad habang nakatingin sa unahan.
"Kuya?" ulit niya. "If he's older than you, then he can handle himself," ramdam ko ang bahagya niyang pagkainis. "Let's go ba-"
I smiled a little at him even if he's not looking at me. I'm sure he can see me in his peripheral.
"May Down Syndrome si Kuya..."
"A special child?"
I turned my eyes away from him and looked in front. "A person with special needs..." pagtatama ko.
Ayoko talaga kapag tinatawag siyang ganon. It's like he's being separated from the normal humans, when the truth is, he's just the same as we do. He just really needs more attention and care, but the rest? It's all the same.
"Right..."
"Though he can be a little hardheaded sometimes..." I frowned.
"Guess it runs in the family..." he sighed and shook his head.
"You didn't say that..."
"You're deaf if you didn't hear it."
"Sir!"
My lips immediately curved into a smile when I saw him all prepared to go now.
"Kuya!" I greeted and walked to him. Agad ko siyang niyakap patagilid. He chuckled and hugged me back.
"Namiss kita, Syn!"
"I missed you, too!" I chuckled.
"Anong gusto mo, Syn? Bibilhin ni Kuya!"
