Beyoncé sat in a makeup chair and took a deep breath as her glam team started on her makeup and hair.
She was a little nervous because she was doing one of the biggest photo shoots of her career yet.
She had been asked to cover Time Magazine for their 100 most influential people issue, and needless to say, she was beyond excited and honored to be included in the list and asked to cover the magazine.
"Bey, you have a delivery," her assistant, Kaleb, said as he made his way into her dressing room and over to her with a bouquet of roses.

Beyoncé smiled when he sat the roses on the table in front of her. She already knew that they were from Jay before she even read the card.
He wished that he could've been there for her because he knew how excited she was for this cover.
But he was in court with Gabrielle about that lawsuit she'd brought against him.
Normally, he'd let his lawyers handle lawsuits, and most could be settled out of court, but she had subpoenaed him to testify, so he had to be there.
Beyoncé just didn't understand why she was making such a big deal of it all. She understood that Gabrielle was hurting and that her and Jay were both wrong for what they did to her, but she didn't have to sue Jay.
Beyoncé tried to put the whole Gabrielle situation out of her mind as she took the card out of the roses Jay had sent her and read it.
Good luck at your shoot today ma. I know you'll do great. I'm so proud of you, and we'll do something to celebrate tonight. I love you.

Beyoncé smiled as she read the card. It made her happy to know that in the midst of all the crazy in his life, he still made time to think about her and what she had going on.
