Knowles' Residence
Briarwood, Texas
6:30 pm"It's gonna be okay Bey. He wasn't worth your time. You'll find someone else who's better. You made the right decision," Tyra told her little sister as they sat out on the porch swing together.
It was something that they had been doing ever since Beyoncé was a little girl.
Whenever Beyoncé was sad or upset, she and Tyra would sit out on the porch and look up at the stars while Tyra comforted her.
"I know that I did. I couldn't subject myself to that treatment anymore," Beyoncé said as she wiped her tears.
"You'll feel better soon," Tyra said as she hugged her sister tighter.
"Yeah, I will," Beyoncé said as she sniffed and wiped her tears.
She sat up off of her sister's shoulder and dried her face.
"In fact, I'm not going to spend one more minute thinking about him or the breakup. Like you said, he isn't worth my time. If he was, we'd still be together, and he wouldn't have been all up on Ashanti. I'm only gonna be home for a few more weeks, and I'm going to enjoy my time here. It's been two days, and that's enough feeling sorry for myself. He's the one who messed up and lost me. The only way I'm going to get through this is to have fun and feel better and not let him ruin my Christmas break," Beyoncé said as she smiled and pepped herself up.
"Yeah, you're right. Don't let him make you cry and be upset when you're supposed to be having fun with all your friends and family. This is supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year, and Colin is not going to ruin it for you," Tyra encouraged.
"I'm pretty sure Colin's not somewhere crying with his big sister. No offense," Beyoncé chuckled.
"None taken," Tyra said.
And as if by magic, Beyoncé's phone was buzzing, letting her know that she received a text.
She pulled it out of her pocket and saw that it was from Lance. It was almost as if it were a sign.
