Beyoncé grabbed her purse and stood up as the church service ended. She looked around to see where Jay was.

She hadn't talked to him since he walked away from her yesterday upset. She had called him and tried to apologize, but he was in one of his moods obviously.

She knew how he was when he got like that, so she figured that the best thing to do would be to talk to him in person

She saw him exiting the church with his mom.

"I'll catch up with you guys later," Beyoncé told her family as she started to make her way out of the church.

As Beyoncé walked out of the church, she bumped into a familiar face.

"Hey Beyoncé, it's been a minute," she heard.

She turned around to see Lance standing there.

"Hey Lance, listen I'm kinda in a hurry right now. I can't stop and talk," she told him.

"That's fine. Do what you gotta do. I just hope we can talk and catch up later," he said to her.

"Um maybe. I'll have to see. Nice seeing you, but I've really gotta run though," Beyoncé said as she turned away from him.

"You too," Lance replied as she walked away.

Once Beyoncé was outside of the church, she saw Jay standing on the sidewalk talking on his phone.

She walked up behind him and caught the tail end of his conversation.

"Gab, what do you want me to do? I was in church. My phone was on silent. I didn't know you were calling...No, I'm not ignoring you. I'm not coming home. You could've come here with me. I haven't seen my mom or the rest of my family in a while, and I wanna spend some time with them. You know how they feel about you. You could've come here and made an effort. Instead, I'm out here trying to make you look good, and I don't see why...Look, I just got out of church. I was in a good mood, and I'm not about to do this with you right now. Bye," Jay said into the phone before he hung up.

He shook his head as he placed his phone back in his pocket.

"Can we talk?" Beyoncé said to get his attention.

He turned around when he heard her voice.

"Damn girl, you scared me," Jay said to her.

"Uh, you just came out of church," she told him.

"Forgive me, Lord," he said quickly.

"So can we talk?" Beyoncé asked him again.

"I'm not in the mood to argue with you," Jay told her.

"I don't want to argue. I just want to apologize," she said to him.

"Okay, so let's hear it," he replied.

"Can we talk in private? I don't really want to be out here in front of all these people," she asked him as she looked around at all the people walking out of church.
