Beyoncé's Apartment
Atlanta, Georgia
6:00 amBeyoncé sat on her bed as she put on her heels. She stood up and went to go look at herself in the mirror.
Jay came out of her bathroom and walked up behind her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and started kissing on her neck.
"Baby, stop. Don't wrinkle my gown," Beyoncé smiled as he let go of her.
"I'm not gonna wrinkle your gown. You're good ma. You look amazing," Jay told her.
"Thank you baby," she said before she pecked his lips.
They were getting ready to go to her graduation. She had been looking forward to this day for a very long time, and she was happy that it was finally here.
She had been working hard for the past four years, and she was beyond proud of herself.
Needless to say, Jay was extremely proud of her too. He had watched how hard she worked for what she wanted, and he was just happy for her and proud to say the least.
He thought that he worked hard, but she put him to shame in his opinion.
She was graduating with a double major in Biology and Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology and a member of the school's Honor Program.
Beyoncé was graduating with the Highest Honors (summa cum laude), meaning she had completed her independent Undergraduate Honors Research Project, written her seventy page thesis paper, successful defended it publicly for ninety minutes, and it was being published in an academic journal.
Beyoncé had been a member of and/or led most of the college's Honor Societies, taken part in leadership programs, community service, and charity initiatives, served as president for multiple organizations at Emory, taken a few graduate level classes, and for the past two summers, she had been studying abroad at the University of Melbourne in Australia, where she'd taken courses and worked at one of their research labs.
She'd been living her best life and working hard for what she knew she wanted in the past few years. She knew it wasn't ever going to be easy, but she didn't mind working hard and making sacrifices for her dreams. The definition of booked and busy.
Beyoncé was wearing all kinds of cords and stoles to recognize all of her accomplishments and hard work.
She would also be the undergraduate recipient of the Marion Luther Brittain Award at Commencement today. It is considered the highest honor at Emory.
