"So what's been going on with you and Jay?" Kelly asked Beyoncé as the four girls sat at a table eating ice cream.
"What do you mean?" Beyoncé asked her.
"You know what I mean. You two have been spending a lot of time together for the past week or more," Kelly told her.
"Yep, every time we try to call or text your ass, you can't talk because you're with him," Nicki added.
"Never at home anymore. Always with him. I thought you hated him, and he hated you," Leigh-Anne said.
"Hate is such a strong word. I just find him more tolerable than I used to is all. I haven't really seen him in a few years, and he's changed some. Don't get me wrong. He's still a major asshole and womanizer, but I just find him less disgusting. We're just hanging out a little. It's no big deal," Beyoncé told them.
"Are you sure? Because if it were no big deal, you wouldn't be hiding it from your brother," Kelly said.
"I just don't want him freaking out for no reason. He already got upset by just seeing Jay talking to me," Beyoncé said.
"Bey, we love you, and we're just looking out for you, okay? Just make sure you know what you're doing with him. You said it yourself. He's a womanizer. We just don't want you to get hurt," Leigh-Anne told her.
"I'm not gonna get hurt because I'm not into Shawn. I just broke up with Colin a few weeks ago, and everything with Lance. I'm not looking for another relationship right now. We're just like almost friends, I guess," Beyoncé told them.
"Good, because I don't wanna have to beat his ass. I'm trying to turn over a new leaf or some shit like that, but I don't mind turning that bitch back over and going back to old Nicki," Nicki said.
Beyoncé, Kelly, and Leigh just started laughing.
The four girls finished their ice cream and headed out of the shop.
"Isn't that Jay over there?" Kelly asked as she saw Jay coming out of a store across the street.
Beyoncé looked over and saw him on the phone. Jay noticed her as well and gave her a smile.
He motioned his head for her to come over to where he was.
"I'll see you guys later," Beyoncé said as she crossed the street to get to Jay.
Jay was on the phone with one of his many flings that he was trying to cut off, Karrueche.
