Beyoncé and Jay stepped out of their therapist's office as a swarm of paparazzi took pictures and asked questions about the state of their relationship.
They, of course, ignored them and made their way into their vehicle.
Once they were in the back, their driver pulled off.
They had been seeing a couples therapist twice a week for the past five weeks.
Jay was upset with her at first, but therapy had helped him to move past it. He knew that he didn't want to break up with her, and he didn't question her love for or commitment to him, but he also didn't want to excuse her or forgive her before he was ready.
He was glad that she'd told him the truth and not waited until she was backed up against the wall or until Michael told.
He still wanted to marry her. He was just waiting for the right time to ask.
They agreed that it was best to see a therapist and get help working through their issues instead of arguing or pretending.
With the baby coming soon, they needed to be on the same page now more than ever.
They actually were in a good place. It was uncomfortable for a while, but they dug deep and did the work.
Therapy had really helped them to communicate effectively and understand each other on a deeper level.
While they still had work to do, it's safe to say that they're in a much better place than they were five weeks ago.
"So I cleared my schedule for the rest of the day if you want to spend some time together," Jay suggested.
"I would love to, but I have to meet with the dean of the School of Medicine about my academic plan for while I'm pregnant and when I give birth. What about an early dinner?" she replied.
"That works ma. I'll pick you up around 5:30," he told her.
She smiled and nodded her head in agreement.
Beyoncé's Apartment 5:35 pm
"Alright, hold on. I'm coming," Beyoncé said as she walked out of her kitchen and to the door when she heard knocking.
She stopped and looked at herself in the mirror one last time before she went to open the door.
