Knowles-Carter Residence
Los Angeles, California
4:15 pmBeyoncé sluggishly walked through the door of her and Jay's home. She'd had a long day of classes, and she was absolutely exhausted.
She's six months pregnant now, and the uncomfortableness and swelling had started to set in.
Her back and shoulders were starting to ache pretty badly, and there were days when she had a hard time standing on her swollen feet and ankles. She had also noticed some swelling in her knees and hands.
Her breasts were filling up with milk and had gotten noticeably larger and more sensitive.
The baby has become a lot more active and was starting to punch and kick pretty hard, which hurt sometimes.
A lot had happened in the last month. For one, his genetic test results had come back, and he didn't have the same genetic mutation that Adnis had, which was a relief for the both of them.
He'd also decided to try to get to know his siblings after talking with Beyoncé and his mom about it. After all, they were his family, and it wasn't their fault that Adnis left him.
He figured that they were probably having a harder time than he was since they were finding out that he isn't the person they thought he was and losing him at the same time.
When they found out that Adnis had tried to guilt Jay into paying for his treatment, they were appalled.
His sisters and brother were good people, so it was little hard to believe that Adnis had raised them. They were cool, and he could see himself getting closer to them.
Even Nia was cool, once she realized how awful her husband could really be.
Jay wasn't really upset about him dying because he'd grieved his loss a long time ago. He finally got to say what he needed to say to him when he visited him last month, so he'd gotten his closure already. Adnis was pretty much already dead to him anyway.
"Baby, I'm home," she announced as she dropped her bag on the couch.
"Kitchen," Jay said.
She walked into their kitchen and was so happy to see him after a long, hard day.
"Hey, come here," he smiled when he saw her.
"Can you come to me please? I don't think I can take another step," she told him as she sat in one of the bar stools and leaned against the back of it.
