Rain begins pelting Beach City with a force that can only be known on Earth, no thunder, no lightning just the rain hitting off the windows of a house. It was a decently big house, nothing fancy since it was in the country side but it fit there perfectly. It continuously gets hit by the rain which is showing no sign of slowing.

Y/N slowly opened his eyes to see his dark room and the sound of heavy rain hitting his house. Groaning he looks over to see the alarm clock which shows him *5:59AM*

"One more minute ..." Just as he was about to fall back into a deep sleep the alarm clock turned over to 6:00AM and loudly buzzed into his ear. Without hesitation his eyes shot open and hit the top of the clock which succeeded in stopping the buzzing but also succeeding in shattering the alarm clock completely.

"Oops ... I should really stop doing that ..." Y/N chuckled to himself thinking 'That was the fifth one this week ...'

He rubs his eyes and lets out a long contagious yawn to fill the rooms silence, quickly swinging his legs over the side of the bed and getting ready to do his morning routine. Getting out of his pyjamas he walked over to his wardrobe and got himself dressed, Black Jeans, thick socks, walking boots and a white t-shirt. Once dressed he went to the bathroom and started cleaning his teeth, he did so while getting breakfast ready but caught a glimpse of a letter from his mom ...

He immediately bit down and ended up breaking the toothbrush while it was still in his mouth. 'I'm not reading that again ... I thought I put it away ..' he thought getting more anxious by the minute as he continued to stare at the letter. He soon took a deep breath and put the letter in a draw in the living room, breathing a sigh of relief as he spat out what remained of the toothbrush, finished cleaning and made his breakfast.

"... its not much but it'll have to do ..." Y/N said looking down at his plate, and he was right, it wasn't much. All he had was a bagel to get him through the morning, it didn't matter to him though, he was never really a huge fan of breakfast, too much effort just wanted to sleep.

Y/N finished what little food he had and glanced out the window, wondering what he was gonna do today. He didn't have a job, he didn't need one anyways thanks to his parents but the ones he did have always ended up in him getting fired. He was different, he knew this, everyone knew this, he just didn't understand why.

Sighing once again he got his coat and headed outside, locking the door behind him he starts his journey towards Beach City. The rain had started to slow down which Y/N silently thanked as he didn't really want to get soaked today. He continued on his trudge towards Beach City, since moving here he hadn't got the chance to actually go in the city which isn't surprising thanks to all the stuff he had to move.

Y/N stopped in his tracks once he found himself standing in front of the Big Donut, 'It couldn't hurt to get one, why not?'  he thought to himself. Y/N opened the door and was faced with the bright lights of the store, illuminating all on display. Before he could comprehend what he had just gotten himself into, a loud voice caught his attention.

"Oh hello! My very first customer of the day, is there anything that catches your attention." Said the former Mayor Dewey, Y/N just looked at him for a few moments before springing back into reality. "What would you recommend? I've never been here before ..." Y/N says as he walks up to the counter.

"Hmm, well wise citizen, allow me to show you our newest creation!" The former Mayor Dewey proceeds to pull out a donut with red icing and a star as decoration. "This is the 'Steven Donut' in honour of our great friend and hero! Steven!" Dewey finished his speech looking at Y/N hoping to have impressed him enough to buy the Donut

"Eh, sure why not." Y/N says and proceeds to take out the necessary cash to pay for it.

"Oh worry not humble citizen! This one will be on the house as this is your first time in Beach City!" He says this and gets out a small paper bag for the donut and hands it to Y/N.

"A-are you sure? I can pay just fine ..." Y/N feels a bit guilty so getting something for free. "Yes of course, no need to worry. When did you get here anyway?" The former Mayor replies.

"W-well, I've been here for a couple months actually, I live in that house near the edge of the forest, I just finished moving so I thought to see what the towns like." Y/N finishes by putting the donut in one of his coat pockets.

Mr. Dewey stares blankly for a moment before responding. "How did you get a house like that?? I mean you seem so young ... no offense of course ..."

"It's a long story ... I best be going, I've got other things that need checking out. Thanks for the donut!" Y/N leaves with a smile and a wave before the former mayor could get another word out to continue the conversation.

Y/N continues his journey exploring Beach City, taking note of all the points of interest he might want to visit again later. He decides to stop at the beach and relax along with eating his donut.

...

The former Mayor was left confused at who that guy was, 'he seemed so young and to have brought a house like that, how strange' he thought to himself. It wasn't long before another person entered the Big Donut, she was probably the most prominent customer.

"'Sup Dewman, can I get the usual?" Amethyst says as she throws the money on the counter.

"Yeah sure thing ..." Dewey says as he is seemingly thinking about something.

"Yo, dude, whachya thinkin' about?" Amethyst said while she was waiting to get her glorious donuts.

"Oh its just ... this guy came in earlier and I gave him one of those 'Steven' donuts for free because he's new in town but he just left in a hurry when I asked about where he's living ..." Mr. Dewey said as he was getting the various donuts Amethyst wanted.

"Didya ask his name?" Amethyst said as she watched Dewey put all the donuts in a paper bag.

"Darn, that was the one thing I didn't ask ... he lives at the house just on the edge of the Forest, its pretty hard to miss." Dewey replied.

"Woah, you mean the house that's been there a while now? Looks like I know who I'm visiting today ..." Amethyst laughed as she pocketed the donuts and started to head out. "Later dudeee."

...

Y/N sat on a bench close to the beach and started to dig into his donut. 'I wonder who this Steven guy was ...' he thought as he continued to munch down on the delicious treat.

The rain had almost completely stopped, the sky was still dark and the waves calmly went back and forth. It was peaceful and Y/N couldn't get enough of it but there was a question that continued to bug them.

'What was that town I saw on the hills? it looked almost like a castle ... I mean, people still live there, quite a few of them actually ...' he thought as he finished his donut and got up, walking in the direction of his house.

It didn't take him long to reach the front door which he opened revealing his new life, a new beginning so to speak. Y/N signed and took his coat off as he sat in the living room listening to the sound of light rain hitting against the windows.

Y/N was taken out of his daydream when he heard 3 sudden knocks on his door, it startled him for a second but he managed to regain his composure and head towards the door, opening it to see ... a small purple girl ...

"Can I help you?"
